I was looking for a way to hook up my iPhone to my car's video system as I recently found it had an HDMI port. The lightning to HDMI cable was a pleasant little surprise - I like its sturdiness and the price, and it functioned the way I expected it to. I now regularly also have my phone mirrored on a little TV screen next to my main work station so I can watch the kids' pictures and such. Highly recommended!

The media could not be loaded.  Got this to do a quick slideshow from the iPhone for a party, and it works amazingly. It is really easy to use, and no additional app is required for installation. Works right out of the box, and the material is solid in quality. For under 15 dollars, this is worth adding to any inventory for audio and video work. Worth.

This thing is kind of horrible. It fails to work and just displays a QR code probably 50% of the time. That QR code takes you to their app in the App Store, which has a 1 star rating. I did finally get the app to work and updated the firmware on the cable, but that didn’t help at all. When it does occasionally decide to bless you by trying to work, it will mirror your device screen well enough but it flatly refuses to work with music videos on Apple Music, as well as any content on Apple TV, Hulu, Netflix, or Amazon Video. I suspect it doesn’t support HDCP, which IIRC is required for all of these. You can kind of get it to work for YouTube (on safari, not the app) but there’s serious audio/video sync issues and the video quality intermittently drops to what I can best describe as a psilocybin infused fever dream, drawn in crayon, on the soft side of a potato that needed to be thrown away two weeks ago. I’m returning this thing. Don’t buy it. Tested in iOS 12, 15, and 16 dev beta on an iPad mini 2, iPhone 11, and iPhone 8 respectively. Same results on all platforms.

Almost everything is great about this HDMI cable, except that the part that fits into the monitor is too thick and long and almost touches the shelf it's sitting on.

I bought this to watch movies from my iPad to the TV. I can see my iPad screen on the tv but it won’t allow movies to play.

I needed a simple way to simply project exercise workout onto a large TV without the hassle of myriad configurations. I also want an adapter that did not need additional external power. This little HDMI adapter was exactly what it claimed. I just plugged it into my iPhone and the contents were shown immediately on the large flatscreen TV -- no extra power, no configurations of the TV or my iPhone. Simply plug it in. Love it.

Great value simple to use. I can pull up a yoga video on my phone and it plays on my television so much easier to watch. I can do my exercise dance video that I use an app on my phone and watch it on my television so much easier. Love this little cord. I love the red one it’s easily to find. Love love love this little lighting cord!

This cord lets me connect my phone to my projector but it won’t play ANY videos. It makes no sense really, I will have the movie playing on my phone but once I connect it, it just loads and loads and doesn’t play. But I can go through my text messages on it, very strange and a waste of money.

Putting together a bedroom AV system using a monitor, DVD player and Amazon Fire TV stick I wanted to complete it with ability to include output from an iPad Air. This necessitated the use of an HDMI 3 way input switch and an OTG to HDMI adaptor. The device I originally chose used an external power source via a USB connector, similar to the Fire Stick. This worked ok. But then I came across the above which I purchased because it seemed a good idea in order to simplify matters and so do away with the USB cable to the iPad OTG adapter. No joy. It simply did not work. As a result I swotted up on HDMI and still cannot see how it could work??? HDMI devices can only supply 55ma for the internals which seems insufficient to power this adapter. I should point out that the original OTG adapter that I am using actually gets quite warm. In other words it's dissipating a couple of watts. I remain very puzzled. I don't like things that don't work as they should do, so the only reason why I will keep this is to find out why. Help me please!!!
