I bought this for my friend who's mum is in the last stages of dementia so she has them holding hands forever.It sets very quickly 30-60 seconds which was ideal for her mum in her condition. She did try to pull her hand out at first so we think it affected the mould a little as there are small patches of plaster between a couple of fingers and I think I could've mixed the plaster more thoroughly as it isn't as smooth as it could've been but any faults are user error and not a reflection of the product, so although not perfect it's done the job and she now has her mum's hand forever.Easy to use, fascinating to see the result.Will definitely be buying more to capture my mum and daughters hands with mine.

It turned out great! A few very small flaws but hardly anything to be at all bothered by! Clear enough instructions, fast delivery and a very happy Mum and 5 year old son.I did use distilled water and an electric whisk which definitely helped!UPDATE...Have since bought a second one to make a birthday present for my sons Nan who is very hard to find a gift for. It worked great and she now has her grandsons hand that she said she will treasure forever!For the second time this has definitely been worth it!

I have fairly small hands so I was able to get two casts out of one mix, but it might be worth getting two and adding them together, then you could cast much bigger items.I also chose to cast with PU not the chalky powder they provide.

This was amazing, it worked really well, took time to sort the water temp out but after that it worked wonderful, was a lovley keepsake

I bought 3 of these to use for my children and my husband who has terminal cancer. He is in his final weeks and we thought these would be something memorable for our children. All 3 of the kits failed and we followed the instructions accurately. The alginate just fell apart as they gently tried to remove their hands.We were all so upset. Something that should have captured a moment ended with 3 tubs of mush. A very expensive and sad mistake.

I have used a different one in the past. The instructions were not easy to follow or you need to do things quickly with this one compared to others.

Used for mine and my newborns sons hand and thankfully set withing 30 seconds. He was asleep but still can move un expectadly. I put vaisaline on his hand to protect it form the chemicals which didn't impact the outcome. No irritation.The instructions do say to used distilled water or it will cause air bubbles... I did not but still came out great as I have now just sanded them off with a nail file.Overall very happy with the quality and the ease. Would buy again but used distilled water and an electric mixer.
