Good book but it could be anyone
The book is well written and entertaining, if a little predictable, so I don't regret reading it but by moving The Shadow forward 150 years and altering a lot of his personality and powers into the bargain you're left with a book that could be about anyone, in fact the thing it reminded me most of wasn't The Shadow but the Nic Cage film The Sorcerers Apprentice with two time displaced magicians battling each other

VERY DIFFERENT
Although I read a lot of James Patterson books this is the first one of this kind. Once I started I couldn't put it down I just had to keep going. I think that this book would appeal to anyone that is into Super Hero's more than the normal thriller or mystery reader.

Good piece of nostalgia
Well written, decent plot, moves along at a nice pace. The Shadow makes a welcome return in this updated version of the 1930s crime fighter series, set in the not too distant future and introducing a few new characters. My only criticism is that it is a bit lightweight with our heroes getting out of tricky situations a bit too easily. Otherwise an enjoyable adventure.

It's James Patterson FULL STOP
What can I say about James Patterson that has not been said. He is pure talent. Whether audio, e-book or physical books, you find yourself immersed in the tense storytelling. Alex Cross is great but, James has host of characters that are equally great. I bought the hardback book and saved a bit by buying a previously owned book via Amazon, but I am a book worm. Have fun in the shadows ⚠️
