". . .patented ribbed belly. . ." PROVEN/Confirmed.
I finally landed the fish I'd been targeting for over 10 weeks. On a Yo-Zuri popper bait with skirt. Said elusive chunk of a Largie actually slammed that bait like a freight train, while my line was cast over an overhanging tree branch 15 feet up and 15 feet over the water. I was bank fishing. That lovely gorgeous fish was fat and healthy. Enough to eventually, quickly - snap the branch so I could pull her in. Eventually, as in, there were several handle cranks worth of slack in my line when she smashed it. I have no idea how many, I was somewhat freaking out. Seemed like forever I was cranking to recover tension. So, good hook size+quality.Once tension occurred, it was two airborne, tail skimming leaps, and one bolt toward bottom, that snapped the branch, fish still on.I wanted to upload video of the branch, a piece of which is still on my line/pole which is in my car. I normally don't keep my poles in car, but it's Winter, and presently cool in there. Only one video per review allowed, tho'.Now, I think the vibro ridges on the 3D baits might actually be based on science because I hardly moved the bait at all, and never made it "pop" before she hit it. Most of the time the lure was moving toward shore due to wind, while I used a different pole. Given stained 2' visibility of the water, I think the vibro ridges on the bait, despite purely super slow wind generated drift motion, caused enough vibrational signal amplitude, *at the ideal frequencies* causing her to track into visual range of the bait. The UV spectrum glow of the skirt probably only helped trigger her automatic Eat-THAT response.Again, 2 foot visibility.Water temp was 52°F surface, 1.5 days post cold front, blue sky, cove in shadow, 10-20 minutes before sunset. Latitude in the Lake Allatoona area of Georgia, US, January 5th, 2020.The designs, thoughtfulness, research+development, plus quality of materials and manufacturing consistency, with tight tolerances, imo-put Yo-Zuri on top of the supreme.
