Beautiful, heart-felt, comforting.
You used to love books and now you barely read. You used to escape into magical worlds and fall in love with imaginary figments, but now you're trapped in a concrete box where imagination dies. You used to find yourself in books, and now you cannot find yourself at all. This is the book that will make you remember it all, this is the book to make you love to read once more. I won't sell it any more - I rediscovered what I had lost, I hope you do too. A revelatory debut!Michael Panayi

The best debut I’ve read in a long time!
I loved The Reading List! Sara Nisha Adams has written a beautiful story with a cast of the most memorable characters (Mukesh and Aleisha will stay with me for a long, long time) and genius plotting. A handwritten reading list (which shows up unexpectedly) brings together a librarian, a grieving widower and his young granddaughter. It’s heartwarming and brought me to tears (many times!). Sara is an extremely talented writer and this book is destined to be a classic! <3 <3

A Heartwarming Page Turner!
I was blown away by The Reading List. I felt like I really got to know the characters personally. I felt their emotion, I travelled through their ups and downs with them. It’s such a heat warming story, bringing together so many different backgrounds. After the last few years, where connections have been hard to build and people have felt a little lost, the Reading List really highlights the magic of community, finding friendship in unlikely places and supporting those around you. There was so much depth to the characters, and I laughed and cried my way through. I cannot wait to read more from Sara Nisha Adams in the future. I couldn’t recommend more.

Recommended read!
I was recommended to read this book and I am so glad I did. Very different from my usual reading matter and I really enjoyed it (although there are sad bits). I won’t describe what happens as other reviewers have done that. This book very cleverly describes, demonstrates (champions really) the power of books to change and enhance lives while telling a story. It breaks new ground in this way, and, if it were possible I would award it a “bonus” sixth star for this.It deserves to be read widely- every bookshelf and library should have one.

Beautiful
I don’t often write a review but this book really is one of the best and books I have read in a long time. Beautifully written with such deep characters.I have been lost in their lives for two days . It’s a must read for anybody who loves books and the power they can give us . Highly recommend .
