Decent quality. Drill bit and installation wrench are a bonus. If you are installing more than a few cut off short bend of wrench and use the long straight section in your drill/driver. Works great.

I wanted to reposition the arms on several chairs, so I needed something that could withstand a lot of pull out force. These inserts (1/4 - 20 x15 mm) filled the bill. The drill bit and hex wrench that came with the inserts worked perfectly. I tried out the inserts in a piece of scrap wood first to make sure the hole size, and insertion tool would work. The drill bit and hex wrench that came with the inserts worked perfectly, and the machine screw was easy to get started. I only used 8 of the inserts for this project, but it was still way more economical to buy this large quantity than to go to a home improvement store to buy a few inserts inserts and a drill bit.

Bought these inserts for use in making small end tables, I used 5/8 inch walnut dowels, I should have used bigger dowels the 1/4-20 inserts I bought are a bit too big for a 5/8 dowels so if your using long dowls for legs I suggest using 3/4-1 inch dowels, so splitting of your dowls won't be a problem. I've seen rustic live edge tables using this type of hardware using like sized tree limbs which are bigger in diameter with no chance of cracking from the steel leg insert. Roger
