Works just the way I wanted it to
Hooked up and worked great right out of the box. I get a clear, sharp image. Because the monitor is designed to be mounted either on dash, in dash or hanging from the ceiling, and the camera either on the front or back of the vehicle, the image can be reversed. There is a button on the front of the monitor to scroll through the options. I set it for a rear-view-mirror setting so when a car overtakes me on the left I see it on the left side of the monitor image.I do not recommend fussing with the controls while underway (Washington has a new distracted driver law and for good reason). You can set it up before leaving the driveway or hand the remote to your copilot.I did not want to use the sticky pad to attach the monitor to my dashboard so I screwed it to a piece of scrap lumber which gave it enough weight not to tip over. I will probably replace that with something more elegant eventually. But this allows me to take the monitor down and hide it on the floor when I park the truck.I mounted one of the cameras on my RV trailer and the other on a cargo trailer, wiring both red & yellow to the front of the trailer and zip-tying to the regular pigtail. I wired the the monitor and trailer camera power & ground to a cigarette lighter plug so I can reach back and plug this in to the receptacle on the back of my center console and have always-on power to both the monitor and the trailer camera.I also added a license plate backup camera on the pickup. My truck has both flat 4-prong and a 7-prong trailer receptacles. I wired the pickup camera to a 4-prong trailer plug using the taillight and ground wires only. This way I can plug it in and use it with either fog lights or headlights and still use the 7-prong for my trailer.I ran the monitor wire for the pickup camera and both wires for the trailer camera under the truck body and in under the back door (crew cab) then under the back seat as I didn't want to drill holes in my truck. The power/ground terminate in the cigarette lighter receptacle and sit on the floor in back when not in use (the only backseat passenger is the dog). The video cable goes between the front seat and console then up to the monitor. The back end of the trailer camera wires terminate in the pickup bed under the canopy. When I hook up a trailer I run the wire from the trailer up over the tailgate, plug it in and close the canopy lid. With this configuration I can see to hitch the trailer and then once hooked up, I can use the camera on the trailer for backing but also on the highway to help with lane changes.I may get more elegant with the wiring in the future - still cannot bear to drill holes in my truck, but for now it all works fine.

A Good System at a Reasonable Price
I wired this as an always on rear view camera for my 2004 Toyota Sienna Van conversion. I did not do a deluxe install. I mounted only one camera under the left side of the visor over the rear window and ran the wire down the channel outside the door seal and across the seal near the bottom. Since the van has a bed on the left side I let the wire lay on the carpet behind the bed to the front of the side door then pushed it under the plastic kick panels and up behind the dash over the pedals and into the radio compartment. I ended up with a large roll of wire zip tied out of the way above the gas pedal. Since this vehicle has no easily accessible fuse panel in the passenger area I hooked the two red and two black wires into the radio harness. As you can see in the photos I already had a rats nest behind the radio from the adapter box required to mate my Android radio to the car JBL sound system. Adding the wires for the camera did not help but it works.I had not looked at this camera setup for almost 1 1/2 years so it took me a little experimentation to remember how to wire it. It is simple enough once you get the concept. I powered the system up with a LiPo jumper battery before committing to putting it in the car. I was a little disappointed to find that I could not turn off the parking grid. I may buy a non grid camera or just learn to live with it as is. The night vision is not super but overall I am pleased.

Good for the money
I used this on a tractor for a better view of the stump grinder on the back and the forks on the front. It was a little bit of a pain to sort out the wiring to fit my configuration but the self assembly did allow me to customize a bit which was good. If you can solder a bit, that'll help. It does not come with a cigarette lighter adapter so get one, or reuse an old one from something else, or plan to hard wire it. Once installed I noticed the switch on the monitor to change from front to back did not work but I could switch it with the remote, that does not come with a battery, a 2032, so I went with it. Also you can forget about the sticky pad holding the monitor to your windshield so plan on mounting it on the dash with support from below. So a few quirks...but it really was a cheap effective solution for me and for stump grinding the night mode was so good I could actually grind stumps in the dark. I'm happy with the end result.

Veramente utili

Impressive and good value
Installed in a horse box to watch horse and for reversing and the owner is very pleased. Big screen with clear pictures and good night illumination. Cameras of solid construction and cables a good length and you have the option of wiring into the reversing light to automatically switch views which we didn't do because its easy to switch on the screen buttons. Good control of light intensity when driving at night etc. Overall the user and installer are very impressed and we see this as very good value for money.
