HICKIES Kids - Tie-Free Elastic Shoe Laces

I expected these to have much more stretch in them, given that they are supposed to be "elastic," so that my daughter could slider her shoes on and off herself. We actually have to remove the top band to put on her shoes, which is more cumbersome than just tying them was and she still can't do it herself. We put these on a pair of toddler size 10 converse (low, not high tops), for a 4 year old... if that helps give a frame of size reference.The colors are nice and bright, which my daughter likes, and so far none have broken. I would not purchase these again.

Not good for kids. Lasted 6 weeks, 2 weeks past return limit. $15 is pricey for 6 week use😖

These elastic laces are awesome! My children are 8 & 9 wearing size 2 and size 6 shoes. The kids sized laces are great for the size 2 shoe, but too small for the size 6. So I purchased the adult size for my older kid. Super easy to install, customization to get the perfect shoe fit, and they look cool too!Tip - don't wash/dry these things. Take them out before washing shoes. It will shorten the amount of time you'll get with them. Also, if your shoes do not have 'standard' holes for laces, like some Under Armour shoes have little loops that they go through rather than holes, these will still work but they won't look as polished as with the traditional holes.

So disappointed. We gave these to my son about 3 weeks ago, and he loved them, but he came home from school today disappointed that one of the fasteners had snapped on him. I want to love this product, but I can't be spending $9.99 on a replacement set every 3 weeks.Update 02/03/2016I am changing my review from 3 stars to 5 stars due to excellent customer service. When Hickies learned that their product had snapped, they sent me a replacement for free. Very happy. Thank you.

In theory these would be great! My kids run a lot and are very active and it seems I am always tying their shoes or knotting their laces so they will stay tied and then having to pick them out to get their shoes on and off. Unfortunately we have had no luck with them not breaking. Within the first week of running in them my daughter's top one broke. Then on my son's set, he was playing basketball and the top two broke. The company has been very responsive and replaced the broken Hickies. I am hopeful that the replacements will last longer, but I will have to wait and see.

I do not recommend these AT ALL for kids. They made my 4-year-old's shoes far too tight on his feet so we had to use an alternate method of lacing. He wore them for 2 days and broke one. I replaced that we the extras that came in the pack. One more week of wear and he broke a second one. I am not a fan and will not be buying these again. I wish I could return them for a refund.

I bought these for my ADHD and fine motor challenged son. They are absolutely wonderful! I love that there is no more need for Velcro only shoes and you can adjust them with different lacing patterns to customize the fit. We've only used them for a week so far but I'm impressed and think they will be great!

I’m 38 years old but still get annoyed at having to tie my laces. I put them in my New Balance tennis shoes and they looked cool—but I wish I ordered all pink. The multi color ones are more suited for kids lol But serious...even our older generations may like them so they don’t have to bend down to tie their laces. I’m ordering another lot—all pink this time!Oh...and I am a runner...I’ve not ran in a while from being sick but I feel they might be a mum too flexible to run in and would rub your ankles.

great idea but in reality we had to take them out as my daughter couldnt get her feet into her trainers at school. Bought for pe instead of doing shoe laces as my 6 year old couldnt tie them and stopped her having to ask the teacher... But they are all the same length so makes it very hard to get feet in as tight at the top and looser at the bottom holes...ok once in though.

Put these on my 6 year olds shoes and it made it impossible to slip them on easily, as advertised. They come off more easily than they go on, but in the end we took the hickies off and put her shoelaces back on.

Faultless laces, our eldest daughter has struggled with lace tying despite years of effort to improve her technique.It probably sounds overblown but these laces have allowed her to embrace her trainers and partake in sports than previously were a huge source of annoyance as she was forever asking for help retying laces.

Easy to follow instructions on how to adjust the tightness of the fit by using different threading techniques. Look good on my sons trainers.. thinking of getting a set for me.
