Q: Do these work for wider feet?

They should. Laying flat they measure 4 1/4 inches wide but they are stretchy like socks.

Hi There, thank you for your question. While the primary purpose of this item is cooling therapy, you absolutely can use them for heat therapy. Simply insert the gel packs into the socks and microwave in 10 second increments until you reach the desired temperature. Do keep an eye on the microwave at all times as overheating the ice packs will cause them to expand and rupture at the seams. I doubt this will work. Ice packs will probably not fit in your boots and I wouldn't advise walking on them. They are great for when you are relaxing without shoes on though
