Gleam: The Plated Prisoner Series, Book 3

"But I'll be the villain for you. Not to you."That's all you need for me to tell you to go read this series. If I thought the first two books in the Plated Prisoner series had me hooked then this was had me in a chokehold. The character development continues in this book especially for Auren, but I also enjoyed getting more time with the Wrath. They're my fave.The spice level in this one is *chefs kiss* Slade is a beautifully written and just a perfect character. I love my own man, but all our partners need to be more like Slade. I'll leave it at that to not spoil all the fun.The ending had me internally screaming as I read it. Another cliffhanger that had me downloading the 4th book as soon as I finished this one. I really adore Raven Kennedy's descriptive and magical writing. Her writing truly transports you to Orea.If you haven't started this series yet and you enjoying morally gray characters, beautifully written spicy scenes and being transported to a new world each time you pick up your book then please start this series. This book is the best out of the series so far. Five beautiful gilded stars for this spellbinding book.

This series is so good I blew through the first three books - so far #3 is my favorite. I'm loving me some Auren and Slade. You don't hit the sexy time until half way thru, but oh boy is it worth the wait. A male like dirty talking Slade should be a part of all of our relationship goals.Ms. Kennedy is a masterful writer, she makes you clearly envision Slade as a monster one moment and the sexiest of Males in the next and you never forget they are one. I already have book 4 - can't wait to get started. Please don't stop at 5!Get this series you won't regret the time spent.

This is definitely R rated. I loved every word. Made me laugh and cry and get angry and so happy. Completely shocking. This is a wonderful series. I bought the books. The twists and turns in this series is awesome!!!!! I love the characters so much.

This book was AMAZING!!!! I literally couldn’t put it down. I literally read it in a day. So much action, steamy scenes, and well developed storytelling. The writing and audiobook narration is outstanding. I absolutely love this series

Can’t wait to read Glow and cry afterwards waiting for the final book to release. Thank you Raven for being an absolutely astounding author.

Oh my, goodness!!!!!!This series has definitely grown on me in the past few days. I can't seem to put it down!And this part? Gleam? It was a reckoning!Auren's story and emotional and character growth are subtle yet all-consuming throughout the series. In this book, she finally leaps for freedom!The author perfectly captured her journey! From her horrible childhood to her captive years as Midas's pet slowly withering away and then seeing freedom and finding unconditional love and care she had never experienced before. All of the trauma, physical and emotional, leads her to finally be who she needs to be and take something she wants for herself.I was amazed how this story pulled me in. It was long, and maybe some parts were a bit too slow, but in the end, it all led to something extraordinary.The majority of the story was told from Auren's POV, which I loved, but like in the last book, we had some other POV's sprinkled in.I loved the young Auren POV's telling a little bit about her struggles before she met Midas. It provided a nice backstory and showed how she became the frightened pet happily entering her cage.Queen Malina's storyline continued as well, and I still don't like her. She is self-centered and power-hungry, just like Midas but with a different approach. I do hope that she becomes a semi-positvie character by the end of this saga, though.We also had Midas chapters, which were disturbing at best and infuriating at worst. Creating a villain that subtly becomes worse and worse is no small feat, but Raven Kennedy managed to do it. Midas is the one character who I instantly want to shake when he enters a scene.One of the best things in this book was that we got Slade POV's, too! I was reading fingers crossed to have his point of view, too, and we got it!!! I absolutely loved to see into that fascinating male's mind, and it was perfectly distributed in the book.Storywise, apart from Auren's fight for freedom, we saw inside Midas's machinations to gain more power, Malina's struggle to hold on to it, and the political sea that is immensely difficult to maneuver.I am very, very interested in how this story goes forward and what magical things might still be hidden in this saga.

I struggled with this, it got better but could have done without some extra info. I really feel like this series could have been done in 3, maybe 4 books max if the filler pages were dropped but now I'm so far I that I need to finish just so I can be done with this series.

It’s an amazing history. Very interesting and you can’t stop to read it. Well defined caracteres. I like it a lot.

Inoltre i punti di vista si ampliano permettendoti di conoscere, e legare, con più personaggi.La trama non mostra buchi, tutto fila nel modo giusto tra amori, passioni, trame di palazzo, giochi di potere e anche dolore.Non ho altro da dire se non buona lettura!

I was so mad at Auren in Glint (book 2) because of her choice and so proud of her in Gleam (book 3) because she learned to become herself and embrace her power! This book was full of twists and revelations that all tie so well that you can’t help but be sucked in the story full force. I love how some very hard topics are dealt with and help understand Auren’s actions and give a glimpse at how a survivor becomes one. As I said, Raven ripped me open and mended me with this series. That epilogue just stole my heart and put it in stasis waiting for Glow (book 4) to breath back life to it!!

What could I say ... [no spoiler]I started these books a little bit unsure of what I would find in those. Especially as the first one can be quite difficult to read (a lot of TW).But then I got completly transported in the story.Everything is great there, but especially the main character development which is just AMAZING.And as for all the other characters, they're also all very incredible, the good AND the bad ones.So, if you are a bit shy about this series, go for it. You will not regret it !
