I see some reviews that are anti-science and believing buzzwords put out by bias and unresearched resources.cargeenan, is perfectly safe and absolutely does not have any relation to anything tumor causing. At absolute worst SOME cats may be sensitive to it, but not in a deadly way at all. If your cat has a very sensitive digestive system and easily gets an upset stomach then you'd want to test this out first- as you would with any cat food.Menadione, is just a source of vitamin K implemented in seafood varieties of food to assure a complete nutritional balance. Because fishoils deplete Vitamin K. So cats on a very fishy diet (all of these cans are fish) will need a small supplement of K3.In high doses it can kill anyone. Really high doses. You know what else can do that? WATER. too much of anything is bad, the amount in the can is definitely safe.My 4/5 stars is because my cat loves it BUT it is on the gooey/jelly side so not easy to remove from the can and requires me to break it up in the dish. Aside that, a healthy can of food if your cat likes it. (All cats are different).Please dont fall for pseudo-sciencyish buzzwords and rumors out there made by people with minimal credentials on the matter.At worst your cat MIGHT be sensitive to this stuff- but because one person is lactose intolerant- doesn't make cheese evil all together now does it?Edit: unfortunately due to all the ignorance about these ingredients in late 2018 they changed the recipe in response to the anti-science complaints. Still safe for your cat but far more cats dont seem to like it now.Good job anti science community. Ruining everything like usual.

This smelly dark, dark mainly tuna cat food is so disgusting that my cat just walked away. I don't blame her as it is the worst wet cat food that I have ever bought. Amazon refused to accept return and I am out $25.51. Also, I never saw that it is MADE IN THAILAND, or I would never have bought it. Beware.

Being a Foster Mom and a Cat Mom can be a tough act. I don't think people without multiple cats understand how finicky kitties can be.After the quality of our previous brand declined, the hunt was on. 5 cats. 5 different tastes. 5 attitude problems. Well, 5 different foods later we found this! They ALL like it. Even my girl that doesn't like wet food at all enjoys the sweethearts in this.Thank you for ending the misery.

I have been feeding my cats this product since August when it was about $5 cheaper/24 cans--they absolutely loved it. Received my last order on November 8 and my cats won't touch it. The consistency is totally different--looks like it was put in a blender--it's more like a gelatinous glob.

I'm adding my voice to the others on here warning about what appears to be a change in the recipe. My two csts have been happily eating food from this label for almost two years, then the latest batch arrives. It looks darker and a bit slimy, but it seems to smell like catfood, so we serve it. A few days later one cats starts vomiting, and even the other cats has a couple of episodes, and both begin turning their nose up at it. Our vet checks them out and X-Rays and blood work all come back fine. We wean them for a few days on light, simple whole cooked food and their symptoms disappear. We can only ascertain that this batch was slightly spoiled OR the recipe change did NOT agree with both cats.I see there are a few recent reviews also noticing that they've tinkered with the recipe, and their cats did not care for this food anymore. In any case, buyer beware.

I'm still trying to determine why there is a new version that's minced. (Has pink band around bottom of can) I've been using the old version for years with great success. The new texture of food is horrible and my cat doesn't like it. I wouldn't recommend this product anymore.

Cats just gave me a "meh" look. I read the ingredients and didn't seem like a whole lot of meat after the main first ingredient. Appreciate no soy or grain, but the cats have spoken. Won't repurchase. Hope this is helpful to another cat family!

This food came highly recommended, so I got the variety pack 5.5 oz cans to test out. We've only had 1 of the cans so far, split between 4 cats as an evening treat when it was delivered.Even the can seems high quality, it was actually a little tough to open, but seemed that the food slid out better than other cans. The consistency was a little unexpected, a pate with a gel on the top. While I sometimes feel my cats don't like pate, It is easiest to split among several cats than others where you can't really see how much you are scooping out.They didn't inhale it like I thought, but seemed engaged in chomping away and taking their time with it. Which I also like, as it seemed to keep them from eating too fast - I feel it is the food, being that it is a thicker consistency than even the other pate food I've been using. They also didn't lick the bowls clean initially, but over the evening it was all eaten - and each cat seemed to eat a good serving - I have two cats that are pretty picky and will walk away - so I hope the same for the other cans.I do have a cat who's had crystals, so I use RX and otc UT specific foods, I like that this has high hydration levels, that will be good to add to my rotation bc the RX food is $$$While I was looking for the 5.5 oz (as I split cans between 3 cats), but I'm not sure I will, or I'll use it when I split between 4 cats bc I fear it may be too filling and I don't want to waste anything.

This product is great and my cats love it, however, it is double the cost on Amazon than going to pet stores. There are some stores that do online ordering and delivery as well.
