Arrived on time and does the job
Bought as was compatible with the cantilever umbrella I bought.Arrived on time and initially just filled the base with water. I used the sunbrella on a light windy day and with base just full of water, it did hold well. But would have been superbly stable if it had sand in it.Now I've filled with sand on two quadrants and easy to use. Only complaints and that's me being picky is the lids are a bit flimsy, if someone where to stand on them when they are on the base. But they do clip and hold well.

Do a very good job
These are very easy to fill and put into place. Unfortunately, I didn't have quite enough sand to do a proper job so, because I was expecting guests and I didn't have time to get more, I temporarily added something heavy to the top for use during my "event". This more than stabilised the parasol, however, that is not how they are designed to be used and I wouldn't recommend doing this for long term use as I think that might eventually damage it.I took the "something heavy" off after my guests had left and as the parasol was not "up" the sand that was in the base kept it stable, however, I noticed some time later that I was able to slide it a little with my foot. I therefore added water which, with the sand already in place was sufficient to prevent movement. Currently, the parasol is tied down under cover for winter, but I really think I need to add more sand before the winter sets in fully in order to made sure it isn't at risk. I think, if a big storm came along with 80 mph winds I would probably remove the parasol from the base and put it away but that's really just common sense.I am not altogether sure about sturdiness and I don't think it will take the weight of somebody standing on it but that's not what it's designed for anyway and I think it will be sturdy enough for the purpose it is made for. The lids seem to clip on well and the person that complained that his blew off down the garden, I can only think he didn't clip them down properly as mine have not budged. In any event I think this is absolutely brilliant and my guests were most impressed and asked where I'd got it so that's a recommendation in itself.

Very Good
This really holds the weight of my large umbrella but the only small downside is it is heavy and takes two of us to move it

Easy to fill but.....
Great it comes in sections & east to construct. Wasn't too difficult to fill with sand. Got covered in stuff when adding water via the hose as obviously too close. Now here's the thing..... 1. Ok, so now full I can't move it so resigned that the grass will die. 2. As I don't have a patio & it's on the grass is it going to withstand being strimmed??? Possibly not. 3. I have a tiltable cantilever parasol so to push the main part up you need to put your foot on the base but this base is not robust enough so pushing the main part up whilst your feet are about 2ft away is very difficult. I managed it once but don't think I can keep doing this. Probably going to have to dismantle it all (except now extremely heavy) & buy a complete new base. £50 down the drain for this base with this parasol.Day 2 - it's a bit stormy today and the wind is up. The parasol is not open but swinging back and forth PLUS I have lost 2 of the 4 covers off the base (taken by the wind). I am going to have to dismantle and move it all when the weather improves - but how do you empty the sections? They are too heavy to lift and there are no valves or ports to drain it?????

Good design, easy to assemble but fragile as anything !
It's ok but you may be better off spending an extra £20 or so. One of the cheaper bases but still at over £50 these things are hideously over-priced.First off it's not bad. It's not quoted as being suitable for my brand parasol (ecru) but still fit and inter-locked providing a stable base.Easy access design to fill the compartments. However..It's quite cheap plastic. Fairly brittle - in fact one corner of mine had cracked off in transit. Didn't make it unusable and wasn't worth the hassle of refunding and getting a new one. I wouldn't even attempt to lift one when full of sand - mainly as I'd break my back but also I don't think the product itself can withstand the weight if not on ground. The top isn't sturdy enough to support much weight - if you're short like me you won't be able to stand on it to erect parasol. Just generally it doesn't feel like it could take any knocks. But fair dues, it would support some flower pots.

Does the job
Difficult to move when fillled with water, so make sure your umbrella is in position before adding these weights. Other than that they do a good job and look nice.
