Q: What is the volume (capacity) of the large cup?

The large cup is marked on the outside as holding 500 mls or17 fluid ounces. There are imprinted graduation marks on the inside in both mls and ounces. I did a measurement myself and found that it will hold 500 mls if you fill it right to the very top of the rim.

Q: Is this the new spot welded model or the old pop rivets model?

Hi, All of our stainless steel kettles have the new spot welded brackets. They also have seams that are first laser welded, then rolled. This product if cared for properly, will last at least one good lifetime. Nearly indestructible.

Hi Jim, The Kelly Kettle Ultimate Stainless Steel Scout kit is an amazing product that stows away, with all its many accessories, into the Firebase of the Kelly Kettle, and the carrying bag. The dimensions of the space needed to store this complete kit is 7.75" inches in diameter (Widest part of this kit is the Firebase Rim and Plates/Bowls) and 10.5" inches tall. Other information that may be useful: Plates are 7.75" inches in diameter and are 1" inch deep. The Hobo Stove is 2.75" inches high and 6.2" inches in diameter. The pot in the cook set holds roughly 32 oz. and is 3" high and 5.25" inches in diameter. The kettle itself holds 41 fl. oz. and is 10.4 inches tall and 7.3" inches in diameter. Hope that helps.

Q: Can I use fuel pellets as well as natural fuel?

You should be able to use anything that can burn like a natural fire, but I’d be careful of anything that burns extremely hot
