Cook's Delight Chicken Base made with Organic Meat and Broth CH-1004 (1 Pack)

This natural chicken base has excellent flavor and stretches very far.

I'm so glad I tried out this chicken base. The first thing I noticed was that it smells amazing! The taste is great as well, and I love that it's all healthy ingredients: chicken meat, chicken stock, sea salt, raw cane sugar, chicken fat, onion, turmeric, celery seed extract, and pepper extract. The only ingredients not listed as organic are the sea salt, onion, celery seed extract, and pepper extract. I feel way better about using this than those boullion cubes from Walmart, and it's just as convenient! The directions say to use 1/2 tsp to 1 cup of boiling water. There are 90 servings (1/2 tsp size) in the container, so that means you'll get 90 cups of broth by following their ratio of chicken base to water. I feel it's well worth the price and will continue to buy this!

THRILLED with this organic Chicken Base is an understatement!We are a family who try to eat as well as possible. One thing I make almost on a weekly basis is chicken bone stock/broth. This gets quite tedious and time consuming. Plus, trying to find enough organic chicken bones to keep up with demand is nearly impossible. Because of this, I decided to look to Amazon to help me (AGAIN!). Although I found many pre-made, organic chicken stocks that would fit my needs, I just couldn't justify the costs of them, since you're paying for WATER. Nor was I comfortable with how much packaging waste there would be.I then stumbled across organic pastes. Smaller container, more product for your dollar, less waste and less waste of shelf space.I was a bit wary about purchasing  Organic Chicken Soup Base by Cook's Delight 1 Lb of soup base makes 5 1/2 gal of soup stock , as there were no reviews for it. However, I noted reviews for other soup bases from Cook's Delight, and they were very positive, so I decided to try it.Upon opening, it smelled heavenly! A very rich, very deep chicken scent. It arrived slightly melted (see pic), but a quick stir reincorporated everything (see pic). I heated a cup of water (8 ounces), and stirred in 1/2 tsp. Sip, sip, sip. YUM! It was a very light, almost refreshing flavor to it. I handed the cup to my husband and he, too, thought it was very light and chicken-y flavored. It is not overly salty either. As is, this reminds me of a clean wonton soup base.Since arrival, we've used it for nightly cups of broth to stir our powdered supplements in to. I've used it to help with a spicy noodle soup base. It states on the label to *refrigerate for optimum flavor*, so that's where I keep it. This is definitely staying in our home, especially with Autumn and Winter coming up (we refer to it as *Soup Season*!). I also hope that Cook's Delight comes out with MORE organic broth pastes in the near future.My personal notes: I up my serving to 3/4 -1 tsp paste per 8 ounces of water, as I like a stronger flavor. I also add a good pinch of pink Himalayan salt.

This tastes great, love the ingredients, no msg / natural flavors/ “spices” my trigger words haha. Its my goal to use things with the best ingredients and clean with nothing hidden, under non revealing names.My only thing is it’s really salty I made the mistake of salting my food after using it and I found that I was pretty swollen in my fingers the next day. If your using this skip the salt on your dinner/ soup whatever. It’s more than enough .. but when I look i to products like these all of them seem to have the sodium threw them roof, I’m not sure if it preserves it or what..

Going organic and was looking for a chicken soup base that was such.This is good except it seems super "greasy" to me, needs to be mixed well, and has so much turmeric in it that it stains everything pretty much including the stove top.The flavor is good, but not great.I appreciate the fact that it is organic, but will look for something else.

I cannot get enough of this stuff. Makes the best chicken broth I've ever had. Tastes amazing. Looks amazing. So easy to use. Be sure to mix it!

This is a great clean chicken soup stock base. The only disadvantage is that it is wet and must be refrigerated.

I'd return it if I could.
