Perfect for i.33 aka 1.33 aka Sword and Buckler, H.e.m.a
Its perfect! Its light and easy to move with!Pros: Light, will not strain your shoulders as you hold it at head heightPros: Will not Splinter! Metal bucklers will splinter and have sharp edges that WILL cut you and your gear and your partner.Pros: Tough Plastic that won't cut you if impacted by metal practice weaponsPros: Cheap! Metal bucklers can cost $20 more than the plastic ones.If you practice HEMA or doing Medieval German fencing, i.33, 1.33 ect., Its perfect for it. If you want more coverage then get the 12 inch diameter version of cold steel. 9 inch is perfect. 12 inches is okay but gets cumbersome and a little harder to move and cut with. Any bigger and its not feasible or enjoyable to move with. Have fun and Keep fencing!

Epic deal
If you’re think about getting this for HEMA/SCA/General training. Do it. This thing can duel rattan/nylon/polycarbonate and even holds well against steel (I might even argue it’s safer than a steel buckler for this, steel chips and sends frags, something to consider). Use it as a starter and you’ll hold on to it for many fights to come, It is nearly indestructible, a true gem from cold steel for the price. Note- I don’t recommend striking with this, even in a plate helmet this thing packs a punch.

Well made product.
My son loves it. He uses it for sparing practice. It is light weight and made exceptionally well.He will be able to use this for a long time. If you are into cosplay, or true sparing this isa great product. You cant go wrong.

Only Buckler You Will Ever Need to Buy
Lightweight, good grip, etc. Unless you need something special, like a Targa or a concave-faced buckler, this is the only one you will ever need to buy. Cold Steel makes them last, and while they don't recommend these for sparring with steel, these can absolutely withstand a harder hit than you'd expect.

tough and ergonomic, but smallish
I got this during a period of "supply chain issues" when bucklers were hard to come by in the HEMA community. I wanted a bigger one, and I wasn't sure how the plastic would feel. Honestly, no regrets. It feels good in the hand. I use it against steel weapons (although you're not supposed to) and it holds up great. It's not big enough to hide behind, so you have to be pretty proactive, but it seems like that's just good technique anyhow.

No Complaints
I use it for practice sparring at home and in a club. Feels good, weighs good, fast delivery, no substantial damage from metal as of yet. If you want a smaller (but surprisingly still protective) pair of bucklers these are a good choice.
