Super quick germination on a sunny window in late Sept
I put 5 for flavour, but I dont really know. just bought them. They have TWO days to germinate! Put them in a little pot in the conservatory. Now that is looking good. I bought these to have lettucey stuff over winter. I will put some outside with mesh over, and some in the greenhouse. See how it goes

Quick to grow, good clean plants, great flavour
I planted these late July (because that is when I got the seeds) in a suspended tray (for protection against marauding slugs) in my small polytunnel green house. They will by used as a cut and come again crop and I will thin out as I go.They germinated very quickly - showing good signs of growth by just 4 days after sowing. They have grown rapidly since then, at 16 days now there is a very good show of strong, clean green leaves with a crinkle edge. They cope well with temperature fluctuations - my poly tunnel is tiny so the conditions do vary more than I would want. They have survived the ridiculous heat of a Scottish summer - followed the next day by the ridiculous cold of a Scottish summer, neither condition seeming to give them much trouble.I have eaten some in sandwiches - they are far too small for a proper crop now but I like to thin out as they grow and nothing goes to waste. They have a good flavour, light and peppery.I have only used a small amount of seeds so far - I plan to start another tray 4 weeks after the first to keep my supply going for the rest of the summer.

Super cheap and excellent value
While I haven't yet planted these, I'm looking forward to giving them a try from February in our greenhouse and then transplanting them onto the allotment. The packet is pretty standard for seeds, made from paper with nicely printed graphics and plenty of helpful growing instructions. The instructions make it really clear when you're supposed to sow or plant, which is really easy to follow. You get 1,250 seeds for £1.29 and they remain viable until 2025, and at this price there's really no point in comparing prices - this is enough lettuce to last the next 4-5 years.Looking forward to my salads over the next few years!

Bona Fide British Seed!
In case you are wondering about ordering from this little known seed company, lest you receive a strange anonymous packet of seeds from China, Kraido is a small, British company operating out of Dereham in Norfolk. All its seeds are packaged professionally and come with very clear, well written instructions and illustrations. The varieties have all been picked to have some special feature. In this case, Simona lettuce is a cut-and-come-again variety with extremely crispy leaves, which is resistant to bolting. The pack I was sent is viable until 2025.

So quick to erupt through the soil - loves tender leafs - most definitely will buy again
UPDATE: this has provided masses of lovely tender leafs, we just cut the leafs off as we need them, we planted radish and rocket and this lettuce and both the other x2 have been eaten alive, all x3 tubs are next to each other but nothing has touched eating these leaves, will most definitely grow again next summer. My son is really eager this year to grow our own veg, he planted them up 3 days ago and already They have erupted through the mud and are sprouting, really looking forward to enjoying some nice summer salads will update photos once the lettuce is big enough to eat. Would highly recommend

Foil packed seeds, Good germination rate.
Never tried this variety before. The directions say feb or march for indoor growing but it depends a lot how you are going to grow them on.Ours will be windowsill grown once they are established and cut and come again. The seeds are sealed in a foil packet inside the envelope which is a good sign as it means they will last longer and are better protected from damp when in storage.I decided to test a small amount of the seeds for germination rate. They are new seeds so should germinate well.To do so , I wet some kitchen paper inside a plastic bag and sprinkled on a small amount of the seed. They have pretty much all germinated in 3 days with strong roots so I will call that a success.I will be transferring them now to a growing on tray to live by the window for cut and come again. In conclusion, this seems like a good variety of seeds as far as can be ascertained from a germination test. The price seems very good.
