Product Description
After tragically losing his wife to breast cancer and struggling to raise three young children on his own, real life super hero and modern day Forrest Gump, Terry Hitchcock seized on an idea. He wanted to accomplish the impossible: run 75 consecutive marathons in 75 consecutive days to bring attention to the incredibly difficult lives of single-parent families. He ran in spite of freezing rain and unbearable heat, in spite of chest pains and bone fractures that wracked his 57-year-old body. He just kept running - each day, every day - strengthening an unbreakable bond between father and son - not stopping until he broke the finish line tape in Atlanta. MY RUN is more than a film about a guy running multiple marathons; it's a film about the daily marathons we all run in life. Narrated by Academy Award® Winner Billy Bob Thornton.

Billy Bob is a Narrator
I apparently didn't read closely enough.. I thought this movie included Billy Bob Thornton as an actor. He just narrated parts of it. Even though it was an uplifting story, I was really wanting to see Billy Bob as he is my all time favorite.

not in good shape or health and not a runner accomplished what ...
Impressive that a man experiencing extreme hardships, not in good shape or health and not a runner accomplished what he did. I am an experienced runner who has retired due to chronic back pain and spent much of my race training practicing smart and safe methods for the taxing that running long distance places on the body. I was disappointed that Mr. Hitchcock's trainer didn't appear to practice safer and more effective tips for sustainability and recovery and that family and friends, except his son, Chris, bailed on him mid-stream. Additionally, Mr. Hitchcock was difficult to hear (poor audio) and understand while being interviewed in his chair. Where the so-called media person? Also appeared that person(s) could have been more effective with awareness toward Mr. Hitchcock's cause.
