Owner American 5159-051 Ball Bearing Snap Swivel 5Pk Sz5 125Lb w/Coastlock, Multi, One Size

I’ve ordered various terminal tackle on Amazon from Chinese brands because supply chain issues have made it difficult for my local tackle shop to offer the exact item I am seeking. I have been disappointed with the quality of these unfamiliar brands. You cannot tell by looking at the products if they are going to be any good. But I’ve found that it is hit or miss with these off-label products. They have been breaking in the field with some regularity. I’ve lost 3 to 6 ounce baits with swivels rated at 120 lbs while my 40 lb braided fishing line and knots held intact. Was very happy to see these Owner, made in Japan, swivels being offered here on Amazon. These have never let me down.

Not As Pictured - Picture Shows Single Loop Snap Swivel - What I received was a double loop soap swivel. I like to limit my possible failure points when off shore trolling. Double loop swivels add one more unnecessary connection, double loops also can turn back on themselves and bind after a lure pops or a strike. I spent the extra money because Owner is top quality in hooks and terminal tackle, but this does not suit my needs. Amazon please update photo on description page.

The swivel looks really good. The black color and the way its made is good quality. The wire tension is just right making changing lures easy.

Bought them for crab snaring and sturgeon fishing. They worked perfectly.

Great but less product than advertised

I'm not doing any fishing, I use these for complex coil building with a vice and drill and booyyy they help a lot. They work A LOT better than the barrel swivels you find in the stores typically. Get the biggest one tho, I didn't and should have. The larger bearings probably have more BB's making them smoother.

Great product from a great company. Have used them in various sizes in Southern Baja California for years on multiple big game fish species. I have never had one fail. My “go to” swivel.
