Xlink BT2 Xtreme Technologies Xlink Bluetooth Gateway - Black

I have been paying way too much for internet and phone service. When Fiber came to my neighborhood, it was time to drop my old service once and for all and, disconnect my landline.As I have several phones throughout my house, I was wondering if there was a way I could connect my cell phone to my landline phones and make them behave as if I still had landline service; the difference being that the calls would go through my cell phone instead of the cabled phone service. I found this device on-line. I was a bit skeptical at first. Is it as good as people have claimed? I decided to try it.Installation was EASY PEASY! All I had to do was disconnect my old landline service, then plug this device into a phone jack, plug the power adaptor in, turn on bluetooth on my cell phone, press and hold the left button on the device until the blue light started flashing, then tell my cell phone to connect to it. That was it! It didn't even ask for the pairing code, it simply connected.I made a test call to my brother, got his voice mail so I left him a message and played it back. Voice quality was surprisingly good!I can now pick up any phone in the house, I immediately get a dialtone. When I dial a phone number, it does take a few seconds for the call to go through, (maye 15 seconds or so) but it behaves as if I still have landline service, which is exactly what I wanted. When someone calls me, they hear it ringing on their side for one or two rings before my phones actually start ringing.The device communicates with the cell phone via blue tooth technology, but it does have a size "C" usb jack, so I believe it can be connected to the cell phone with a USB cable if I wanted to. The typical range for blue tooth is about 10 meeters or almost 30 feet. I tested by placing my cell phone in the far corners of the house, basement and main floor. It worked perfectly! No signal loss. I placed the device in a room in my basement, near the center of the house.I'm quite impressed with this gadget. For something as small as it is, it works great. This unit supports two cell phones. Oh, I should also mention caller ID works with it too! I have a Motorola phone. It doesn't display the name of who's calling (I don't think?) but it DOES display the phone number of who is calling.

Product works great, then suddenly no connection. Still has dial tone and blue tooth still connected but no communication. Must unplug and reboot then works for a few days. Bought Cell-to-jack and it works perfectly ALL THE Time.

Works so well! I have a motorized M&Ms character phone from the 90s. Now it works again - and it works really well too! Rings when someone calls me, and dials out too - all blue-toothed to my cell phone. I LOVE it. And connects in 2 seconds, and reconnects when I walk in the house - and my M&Ms phone is on the second story! Nice.

I purchased this so I could make calls from several vintage phone I own, and it works exactly as expected. Audio quality could be smidge better, but it was far superior to another lower-cost unit bought from Amazon and returned. I guess you get what you pay for.One mildly annoying problems is that if it's paired to your cellphone and you answer an incoming call on the cellphone, the Xlink will grab the call. You can of course deselect bluetooth and take the call, and I expect that I'll eventually remember to do this instead of beginning every incoming call with "Hello? Hello?".Bottom line - it's a keeper. Stop dawdling and click on 'Add to Cart' now!

I speculatively ordered this from the UK and it arrived pretty quickly without incurring customs charges or additional VAT. I'm pleased to say that it works like a dream. Easy to set up and my 1950s vintage bakelite telephone now works on the UK cellular network :)

It works like it supposed to and the instructions were clear to set it up. Unfortunately we had to send it back because the cell phone signal in our area was so weak the device kept losing the Bluetooth.

I was watching YouTube when a video came on showing a woman whom was powering all her various landline telephones with the Xlink BT HD device. The box is connecting to her cellular phone via Bluetooth, which uses that phone's Cellular feed to power the other phones. What got my attention is that she had both push button and rotary phones. She plugged the unit in an abandon phone outlet she wasn't using, and the device powered the rest of the phone outlets that were regular house wired throughout her home. This appeal to me because I know some VOiPs you use through your computer modem won't work with rotary telephones because they can not use pulse signals. Old Ma Bell charges nearly $100 a month for using their power through the landlines, and she, herself, is dropping this entirely in 2025 for moving to her fiber network for new wiring setup.So I got a few of the XLinks boxes to try. I had a modern amplified Clarity phone, old rotary wall phone with a complier to feed the line cord without the wall base, and a simple push button wall phone. I did what the lady did, use an outlet I wasn't using plugged in the XLine. Press the Bluetooth button 6 seconds to link it to my iPhone, and all 3 telephones had dial tone. The Xlink also has a second button to test the ringing. So I press that for 3 seconds, and all the telephones were ringing throughout my house! The second Xlink I am going to use to add a telephone in the middle of the living room where I have no outlets. This was an old rotary desk telephone which I dial out a takeout order, and it worked flawlessly.So this test was a success, and I encourage all whom want to return to the simpler days of using landlines telephones to dial out or receive calls.
