Many dental patients grind and/or clench their teeth but do not want to spend the money on a custom fit appliance that cost between $400 to $600. There are also patients that spend hundreds of dollars having a custom mouth guard made at the dental office but end up not wearing it. The Comfort Fit mouth guard is a very affordable appliance that can help prevent further tooth damage, gum recession, and bone loss as well as headaches which teeth grinding and clenching cause. It will also give you an indication of wether or not you would comply to actually wearing a custom made guard your dentist recommends. Many patients grind and clinch their teeth while they are sleeping and are unaware they are doing so, but there are also those patients that do it 24/7. This appliance is very comfortable to wear throughout the day and you can easily have conversations with others while wearing. I am a registered dental hygienist and I wear this appliance eight hours a day while working on patients. I also recommend this mouthguard as an affordable way to help prevent further damage to the teeth and surrounding tissues in addition to determining a patient’s compliance with a custom made mouthguard at the office.

This is an easy fit and does not feel bulky in your mouth. I learned I was grinding my teeth at night (from dentist). When I was told how much a mouth guard will cost from the dentist, I had to look at other options. I bought a clear mouth guard that molds to your mouth, but it was bulky and uncomfortable. I kept spitting it out in the middle of the night. Then my dog chewed it. He enjoyed it more than me. So, I turned to this mouth guard and its been great. Mouth and money saver!

Good product, but didn’t work out for me

These are easy enough, but are not form fitting in any way. They sit loosely on your bottom teeth and you must keep your jaw clenched. If you sleep with your mouth open, they could fall out.

I've tried many mouth guards (except a formal one from the dentist) to combat my nightly teeth grinding. This is my favorite and I've been using them for several years. No boiling required, and the adjustable straps makes it so that it doesn't go too far back (and can be adjusted based on what feels comfortable each day) With the boil-type mouth guards, I find my teeth aching in the morning. With this I do not feel that pain at all. I've referred many friends and family members to this mouth guard.
