Is this solar generator too good to be true? For someone like me, it is. I recently bought this ECOFLOW DELTA and it is my third generator to supplement my Honda eu2000i and Champion 3700. Soon after I received it, I ran spec tests on it to see if it met all of the power features it advertised. I was not disappointed as I was very impressed with the overall functionality of this power unit. The unit is comfortably portable, durable, and powerful. I now have peace of mind that my power needs will always be available so long as the sun shines. The ONLY concern I have has to do with the efficiency falling off after 800 cycles. I do not know whether ECOFLOW will have any options to offer once the unit has reached its peak efficiency and begins to lose its original power capacity. However, I will only use this DELTA only during outdoor activities or if the power grid goes down temporarily. Used only when needed, 800 cycles will offer me years of use. The DELTA can be used indoors and is whisper quiet. This is important if noise is a concern with neighboring campers or if discretion is required during civil unrest or when the power grid goes down for days at a time. If my DELTA cannot be fast charged from a wall outlet, I will always have access to recharge it with my two 160W solar panels. The connecting solar cables could have been longer as they are only 3 meters (10 ft) long. I had to order additional MC4 cables from ECOFLOW so my I am able to recharge the unit while the unit is indoors and when the panels are outside. I live in Arizona where it commonly reaches over 100 degrees and I suspect that if the DELTA was outside while recharging, it would be subject to overheating even with the fans running. In sum, I truly believe ECOFLOW solar generators are the best on the market and outshines gas generators in may respects. For those seeking a solar unit, you may want to consider the ECOFLOW PRO for additional power needs. Regretfully, I missed the Kickstarter promotion but hoping ECOFLOW will offer it again sometime.

You must remember this is just a battery that can be recharged using a solar panel or AC outlet. It will probably keep your refrigerator a small TV and or small LED light going most if not the night. On the positive side there is no noise you can keep it anywhere inside your house for easy use, no worries about running out of fuel or trying to get the thing started and or keep it running. You can also recharge it using the supplied car lighter AC outlet.

Set up of the back up unit was a breeze, the unit did charge to 80% in one hour. Per the screen, running my 10 yr old freezer and full size side by side fridge, the running time with both compressors running (which they won’t do continuously) listed as 6 hours. The 2 x160 watt waterproof solar panels I bought ( system can handle 1 more 160 watt panel) were a bit more time to hook up because there were several options. Since I want to use this portable system as a continuous power back up that I can disconnect and take with me, I needed to order a longer connection cable 50 ft on line (Ecoflow’s extension cables were out of stock) but customer service referred me to Amazon to order the longer cable to reach from my kitchen to my side yard ($40). Product seems to be good quality and easy to use. I was not pleased when I purchased a package that included 2 solar panels but it doesn’t include the adapter to connect both panels nor does it mention you have to purchase the adapter separately. Personally if it wasn’t going to be a hassle to return it I would and I would never do business with this company just on principle!

Charges amazingly fast with AC, and the 2 160W solar panels are pretty efficient as well. This unit powered our fridge easily for over 9 hours. We had just arrived at our home in FL and stocked the fridge and a bad storm took out our power. We are very happy with the unit.

I bought this thing so I can keep the Fridge cold during a blackout. Received it before I expected, it wasn't damaged, everything was in great shape. Plugged it in and charged it. The next day I pulled out the fridge and plugged it in. It ran it all day and at 11pm I was satisfied enough to feel I didn't waste money. Great deal. Happy with the purchase.

Wish the solar panels were waterproof. Other than that I like the unit.

We are very pleased with our Delta and 2 160W solar panels. We have even charged the Delta with solar panels in cold Manitoba weather. If it's below freezing, we leave the Delta inside our screen door (glass closed of course) with the cord coming in the corner, and leave the panels outside, as they can charge up to -20C. We've used the Delta a few times to test. Warning - it will not sustain using a space heater for a long time (1 1/2 hr perhaps) and so another source of heat should be thought of for longer power outages. We want it mainly for emergencies, and are looking forward to summer when we can charge it more with solar, and use it regularly to save on hydro costs.

The Ecoflow Delta is amazing. I wanted something that could power my Technivorm Moccamaster and Baratza grinder while car camping or if the power went out and this is perfect. It charges faster than anything else of comparative size, which is important in certain situations.
