As others have mentioned this does have a noticeable smokey smell to it especially when melted. I know that they often use smoke to chase bees away so they can collect the wax and honey, so it was somewhat expected. The smell did not put me off using it though as it was not that strong and I am using it for deodorant. Even in the finished form I could still tell it was there, but it was not enough to make me not want to use it. No one that has tried my finished deodorant has mentioned noticing the smokiness so it isn't too bad. I still like it fine.

great for wood turning finish and sister used it in a hand cream she made.

the product itself is wonderful for cosmetic applications (lip balm, massage bars, etc.) love using it for my home made cosmetics. the shipment was fast and these bars are completely more affordable than others I've found online.
