It's a pretty good quality cloak
It's a pretty good quality cloak. I'm 5'6" and I ordered a Large but a Medium might have done just as well. The sleeves are VERY long though so keep that in mind and when I wear it it almost reaches the floor.

MAWHAHAHA!!!
Husband is our DM for Dungeons and Dragons. He wears this every time! Also makes a great wizard robe for Halloween 😁 He’s 6’4” 250lbs and it fits him PERFECTLY and it’s about 1-2” off the ground(he got an XXL).

Not perfect but perfect for the price
Most of the time the photos showing any costume on Amazon have been lit to fool us into a fabric looking like sweet velour or something completely false and it ends up being the cheapest see through nonsense. And most of the time a XXL in China is like still a medium over there. I get so mad like I’ve been fooled again!Even though this photo also makes the fabric seems twice as thick as it really is, at least it’s not see through and not completely thin. It’s actually just the right thickness for my purposes because it’s not that hot underneath. And the XXL was just right for my behemoth size. Still a room for flowiness.I like it’s sewn to look layered. The photo i added makes the black fabric look brown because i colored the photo.

Nice Inexpensive Robe
I like to dress up in Harry Potter drag and hang out in Diagon Alley at Orlando Universal Studios, and I'm entertaining a huge family reunion in Florida next June. I want to take the kids into Harry Potter land and do the costuming thing with them, but I will melt in an official HP robe, so I thought "why not make a new robe from lightweight material, and decorate it for an alumnus of Slytherin House". A black robe. Then some UV dye for decoration (so it all happens when I walk into Nocturne Alley) and I'm done.Long story short, I saw this and realized I can't make one cheaper, so decided to see if this would be a good starting point.Yes it will. The material is nice and light, almost translucent in bright light. The fit is good on my weeble-shaped body, but I shall have to take it up a couple of inches. The robe is unlined, so you are going to see some seams. With the robe tied closed and the hood carefully folded back they shouldn't show. For this price you really can't beat it.[UPDATE 10/15/18]I bought a red one too, and will certainly be buying more in different colors. I cannot make cloaks this good for the price being charged and having one from the get-go cuts hours off costume projects.Fitting: I am 5'8", 250 lbs with a 44" waist. A 2x cloak fits me nicely as far as girth and sleeves (which I want a little longer than my arms to add to the mystery and menace) but runs long, being cut for a person over 6' tall. I shall be taking up the cloaks by about 4 inches and adding additional hidden fastenings. I shall also be replacing the ribbon-like ties at the neck with cloak hooks, available from conventions, ren-fayres and very likely here too.The red is a nice rich red and would work for evil clerics, vile satanic cultists, Masque of the Red Death attendees and princess brides.[/UPDATE]

Cute Fairy God Mother robe!
Ordered the Large after reading some reviews saying the length was short. If I wasn't short on time I would have returned and ordered the medium. It was perfect for my Fairy God Mother costume! The arms were a bit baggy due to the size but I think ordering the medium would have fixed it. The quality was great for a fun costume.

Great Costume
I got this for my 11 yo son for his Halloween costume. He wanted to be a plague doctor and I had already made the mask and just didn't feel like making the cloak too. I got him an Adult Small I believe. I choose the fit "as expected" as I did expect it to be a little big on him and it was but it wasn't so big he could not wear it or that it was an issue. He sure will be able to use it next year if he needs to. I do like the somewhat thick material. Id compare it to a graduation gown, but a little thicker. Very well made and had no issues with it. I made the mask via Chris of Lost Wax (fb and youtube) or LostWaxOz on Instagram. He makes all kinds of cool stuff.

it's just a robe.
It's absolutely nothing like the photograph. It's literally a black robe with a single tie string at the top. It's black, kinda shiny, well-finished -- not anything like the image! It would be great if I were going as a Hogwarts student.I think the word "Tunic" needs to be removed from the description as a tunic is not included. It's JUST THE ROBE.

Perfect robe for my plague doctor costume
Perfect robe for my plague doctor costume. Some what thick material and very heavy duty feeling. It does only come with a ribbon to keep the robe closed at the neck line, so I removed the ribbon and enhanced the robe by added my own leather buckles.

Great
5'10" tall and maybe just as much wide. XXL fits me well enough, belly pokes out here and there but such is life when you fall to the dark chocolate side of the cake.Quality on the stitch seems great. The material feels very synthetic but rugged. Not a breathable material at all so this would be a poor choice for someone who gets hot easily or in the summer. This is an absolute win for cooler weather, Halloween being a good example. Being a synthetic material I suspect it will hold the black colour well after multiple washes which may be needed after a nights use. This doesn't drag on the ground when wearing it but it comes very close to the point where taking off my shoes makes it just long enough to begin to touch the ground. No complaints. The hood is big and great for cheesy sith poses with your light saber but in practice it will be a nightmare to look out of if you use it to full affect while walking and dueling. There is a string at the neckline to close this cloak up. Depending on your cosplay of choice this can work for or against you as the bottom half will be prone to opening up. Wearing it fully open work out well and also makes things cooler, using clips can solve this with ease. If you're good with a thread and needle then you can come up with even better solutions including magnet clasps.Sleeves are a decent length as well for photos but for practicality it could use a little hemming if you want clear use of your hands.I love this black cloak, great buy for the price and highly recommended with potential for re-purposing on another costume like a wizard. Also works great as a base cloak to customize with tattered bottom or possibly even go sleeveless?

if your a tall big guy this will fit no prob.
I'm huge 6 foot 5 and 400 lbs. Was afraid this would be too small. It's huge. I could where some viking armor and it would still fit over top.
