newer bags are garbage, old review: [Nice quality, love the zipper.]
Update, purchased again: May 2019Newer version of these bags are NOT the same as the older ones. I bought a pair back in August of 2017 and they lasted for about a year and a half. New bags I got a few days ago lasted just two DAYS... That is days, not months, not years, just two days.First of two bags has a bad seam and a gaping hole. I emailed the company and they refunded half the price. The second bag was in the pool for two days and the seam degraded and the zipper came clean off when unzipping.I put the old and new up next to each other and they are clearly NOT the same bag. The seams are different and there is no longer a logo on the bag. The are definialty cheaper. Will not buy again.I've attached a picture to compare.Previous Review:My Polaris original came with a zipper bag and I loved them. Past few years I've only seen the velcro which I don't like because the get all junked up and fail usually before the bag breaks.I haven't had them that long yet, but the are larger than ones I had before and seem very nice. I'll try to post an update in a few months, see how it handles the fall foliage.Update: 1/23/20185 month update and the same bag is still in great shape. Handled the fall leaf assault with ease.

Better than the mesh bag that comes with the Polaris!
My husband and I really like this nylon mesh zipper bag for our Polaris 280. It's larger than the version that comes with the Polaris, so it holds more debris before needing to be emptied. It has a nice zipper to easily empty when full. It was less expensive than the replacement bags that Leslie's offers, and there were TWO bags instead of one for the price we had paid in the past for just one of the replacement Polaris mesh bags. The mesh is fine enough to collect very small debris as well. I wouldn't buy the Polaris version again. This is much better. I prefer the velcro hose attachment to the plastic attachment that comes with the original bag. It's not often that I've come across a product that I like better than the original factory design. This one is an improvement in my opinion.

Better than OEM and good value
This bag is better overall than the OEM Velcro version and the ATIE zipper. After 4 months, I’m going through the second piece now. You can see in the picture that the bag has already ripped in the bottom. I was wondering why I had so much sand and leaves at the bottom of the pool for the past 4 days. Seems the duration is a little short for the threads to come apart. It can’t necessarily be the chrlorine content of the pool, as the Texas heat and sun continuously keeps my pool extremely low 1-2ppm.The other downside is that because the neck is so thick/sturdy (compared to OEM), it’s hard to press the neck to remove it from the Polaris.Beyond that issue, the zipper doesn’t rust and the bag is fine enough to pick-up sand/dirt and other fine particles from the pool floor. The Velcro also doesn’t disintegrate.I’ll probably buy this again and assume I’ll have to go through two bags every season.

Bags would be great -- but the stitching is substandard and needs to be reinforced.
I bought these in May 2018, so almost 2 years old, but I rotate them with two other bags, so they have each spent about 6 months in the pool. I chose primarily because of the zipper design, and the bags have done well. However, the inside seam just above the plastic connector has split on both bags. The problem is not the fabric, but rather that the stitching needs to be reinforced, probably all around. We re-sewed them and continue to use, but this would be an easy fix for the manufacturer.

Very good alternative to OEM part
This is a good replacement part for the Polaris 280. My old filter bag tore open from the Velcro attachment rubbing on the mesh. The mesh is a slightly tighter weave. This is good for catching more dirt but it holds air longer, making the Polaris float a little longer when it comes to the surface. Not a big deal. The zipper is good quality, basically matching the Polaris bag’s quality. The plastic collar is shorter. It’s a little more difficult to get a hold of this to remove it for cleaning. But it’s not a big deal and can be managed.I would recommend you try this out as a replacement bag.

Zippers don't last
Well upon initial used, I loved these replacement bags. The price was right and I loved the zippers over the velcro I had used on previous replacement bags. Both zippers broke within a month of use. The first broke within a week. The second one broke shortly after I switched bags. The second bag even came apart at the seams too, so I couldn't even try dumping the bag to get me by until I ordered a replacement again.

somewhat good, yet bad
I have had one of these bags on my polaris for 1 year, about 9 months in the bag deteriorated on one end allowing the zipper to come off, no problem put it back on. Last week the velcro went bad and I said ok, will use the other one. Well get it out and the zipper is there, but there is no pull tab, so it can't be opened. So now having to manually dig the crap out of it. I can deal with getting 1 year out of a bag in the heat of texas, but no zipper tab, not going to work

Lasts about 2 years
I bought these at the same time I bought my new pool robot as I rotate so I can let the leaves dry out a day or two before adding to the leaf bag. The original that came with the robot is still completely functional. In comparison - these work fine, but are starting to fall apart. The velcro had to be sewn back on on one, the seam came apart in a few places on both, and just yesterday a plastic piece broke making one of the two unusable while the other one is getting new holes, this time from the fabric itself starting to wear out. Still, lasted roughly 2 years.
