BEWARE: NOT for fine acoustic guitars!
While this is an okay stand if you can get a good deal on it, it is NOT for fine acoustic guitars, or any guitar that uses NITROCELLULOSE LACQUER. I have several Martin acoustic guitars, and generally any of them with a gloss finish will get the finish damaged by the foam on this stand. How do I know? There is a warning label on the stand itself. That's right, nothing on the product info page, but once you get the stand out of the box, there it is, a little tag telling you not to use the stand with any guitar with nitrocellulose lacquer because the foam could damage the finish. This lack of knowledge on the product page is forcing my annoyed one-star review. It's probably a two- or three-star stand. It would work fine for an electric guitar.Even if your acoustic guitar is not finished in nitrocellulose lacquer, I don't know if I'd want to take the chance. Secondarily, it just doesn't seem like the stand "holds" an acoustic guitar very well either. It was clearly designed with an electric guitar in mind. Maybe if I'd wanted it for an electric guitar, I'd appreciate it, but I'm not sure.Sorry to be so emphatic, but I wanted to save anyone else from hopping into my leaky boat without foreknowledge. My advice is to keep browsing.

Better for acoustics than electrics
It'll hold a guitar just fine, but it does a better job with acoustics than electric guitars. The arms of the stand are shaped with a notch meant to stably hold the thinner bodies of electrics, but this notch is positioned so far toward the front that if you were to use it, you'd have to lean the guitar way, way back. I just use it without having the body in the notch and it works well enough.

Good quality stand
I purchased this stage rocker along with bridge pins, strings, guitar strap, capo, string winder and guitar tuner as a Christmas present in 2013 for a guitarist friend in Canada and completely forgot about leaving a review. I have the same stand that I purchased from a store here in the UK years ago and it is still in use so had no doubts about the quality. I know he was thrilled with the items and was pleased with the quality but sadly he passed away in 2015. I am grateful to have found items that he enjoyed from companies that shipped to Canada as so few on Amazon did at the time.

Guitar rack
It was purchased for a acoustic guitar and it serves it purpose, but it is unnecessary bulky since it is made for electric guitars as well. It that is not a issue, you cannot beat the price. It is light yet very sturdy.

buy something else........
this guitar stand is a good idea but not very well built. its off center and warped. the arms that hold the guitar are welded at different levels. the only good thing about it is its easily fixed. electrical tape and a torch and some do it yourself know how is all it takes.seems i could have paid 3 dollars cheaper and not had to do any of that.

Great value
I use these for a couple of strats, though interestingly I place them on the flat, and not in the slots designed for electric guitars. They work well enough, though the sponge like material providing protection for the instrument seems a little short lived - but though it's dull, it still protects. Overall, and for the money, this works.

Cannot Beat These
The price alone is worth it! Other reviewers have pointed out that you should be careful sitting expensive acoustic guitars on these. While this may be true, I have had no issues with my acoustics, banjo, dobro, Tele, or electric base. I have only had this for a few months, but would not hesitate to order another.
