Hospice and Palliative Medicine Handbook: A Clinical Guide

Excellent resource!
I am a new Nurse Practitioner working in Palliative Care and absolutely love this book. The text is written in bullet points, a format I find very easy to use and remember and I can use it for a quick reference. It was introduced to me by a physician mentor in our practice. He loaned me his copy while he was on a leave of absence, and I bought my own when I found myself using it so much. It's like a Bible for Palliative Practice. I would like to thank the author for such a valuable resource!

Absolutely awesome
I love this book. I am a hospice NP and I use it daily for quick references. I highly recommend it to anyone getting into the hospice field. MD, NP, PA, or RN. It had a wealth of information. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect clinical guideline
I just recently started Hospice and was feeling unsure of my practice as it is so different from my prior work in the hospital. This book has helped me close that gap. It has explanations of typical issues seen, interventions, and pearls of care with focus on how to educate family members. A lot of what I read in this book I have heard from my preceptors as well so I know it is spot on. I covered it in a clear protective cover to keep it nice since I use it so much and I bring it with me in my supply bag to each of my patients homes. Definitely worth the purchase.

Must have for the serious hospice & palliative clinician
This book has a wealth of information. The only complaint I would have is the print is smaller than I would like, however, it may just be my age! Otherwise, I read a little everyday and learn from it everyday. When I triage, I use it as a reference book. It’s not just a handy hospice reference. It goes deep into hospice and palliative medicine.

LOVE it
As a hospice medical director, this is a perfect book. It has lots of information that is helpful, especially for symptom management. The print is easy to read and I love that the size of the book is easy to carry in my hospice bag. I highly recommend it for hospice doctors and family practice doctors.

Font is too small for me to read comfortably
Sadly disappointed. The font is tiny, about 7-8 points, and light, that this book isn't practical for me to use. I wish I had purchased the kindle version, but I don't want to spend another $52.
