OK but not earth shaking; recommend Pyora instead--if you can find it
I know I'm going against the flow here on ratings, but we're not impressed. OK french press coffee (which is always better than drip or cartridge), with a fair amount of sludge (not grinds) left in the bottom of the cup. We have used it daily for a month after we managed to break our Pyora French Press (also 34 oz), making various adjustments on water, grinds, etc.--but I just can't get the same flavor out of the Hunt Bros. The Hunt Bros. is also almost 1.5 inches taller than the Pyora, which may not sound like a big deal, but for many that means you can't store the plunger inside the french press in your cupboard, which either means leaving it out or putting the plunger somewhere else. And if the 'somewhere else' means the plunger is on its side, you will end up with some grounds under it no matter how much you rinse it off. We also don't find the handle particularly comfortable. Sadly, I just went back to Amazon to order another Pyora, but they're out of stock. The online hunt begins.

Great Coffee but Hard to Clean
I was excited to find this French Press because it's one of only a few models made entirely of stainless steel and glass -- with no plastic. I wanted to love it. It makes wonderful coffee and no grinds get through the screen. However, it is difficult to clean the plunger. The top knob is screwed on (instead of being welded in place) and it is threaded in the same direction as the filter -- as a result, when you try to unscrew the filter, the knob comes off instead leaving nothing to grip. I needed to use pliers to hold the stem so I could unscrew the filters! Having the filters and knob threaded in the same direction is a pretty obvious design flaw.

Wonderful French press!
I would highly recommend this press...I love this French press for it's classic, clean look and the fact that it has no plastic parts. I was given some locally roasted coffee that was pre-ground (usually grind my own), and was pleasantly surprised that it filtered out all of the grinds with its fine mesh filter better than my other press. Easy to use and simple to clean! The size was perfect for me to make 2-3 cups of coffee for myself each morning, and if I have company, I feel like I can make it stronger and dilute slightly to make more than 4 cups. Plus, love getting all of the antioxidant benefits of coffee by not using a traditional paper filter, which trap the beneficial oils. So glad I ditched my electric coffee maker, my coffee turns out so delicious every time in this press!

High Volume / Great Aesthetic
In the past week that I've owned this press, I've enjoyed its use more than a dozen times. This press is wonderful for a pair of people who enjoy larger mugs of coffee or tea. If I had one complaint, It would only be that I wish that the stainless steel didn't scratch the glass body occasionally during removal, but this is inevitable. Thanks for a wonderful product!

it's great.
Overall very high quality. No plastic!! The only criticism would be that there is no "gap" from the bottom of the glass base so that it heats up any surface it rests on. Many other French Press Makers allow the glass to be elevated an inch or so. Other than that, it's great.

Classy!
I broke my umpteenth French press carafe and found this on sale. It's very nice! The glass is a little thicker than my previous presses and it's bonded to the frame, which will prevent it from slipping out and breaking when I pour or clean it. Modern isn't my style, but this is nicely understated, and has a nice heft and balance which makes it pleasant to use. I hope I can manage not to break this one for a while. Recommend it.

Works Fine
Works fine! I hope the glass is sturdy as the glass bottom rests directly on counter surface. No directions on how to take apart the filter, but I suppose a monkey could do that.No info on whether it was diswasher safe.A company representative did return my email answering my questions.

the item is easy to clean
my first french press i ever owned, i appreciate the stainless steel look and feel, the item is easy to clean, i was wondering if you could send me a replacement screen? i have been using a coarse grind and i made a small tear in the screen, i use alot of beans , i prefer my coffee strong so the volume of chunky beans is high i guess it poked the screen with a small hole.thank you
