These sandbags work so well on my tent, that when a windy day came, the sandbags were still there with the legs, but the tent was all twisted and mangled up, because the sandbags would not allow the tent to move at all. Therefore the wind just twisted up everything else. Should have taken my tent down before hand, but at least it didn’t fly and damage our cars nearby.

We live in a very windy town and it blow over a playground and the trampoline even been put in to the ground. But those hold our gazebo very well. We filled them with playground sand.

I purchased two sets of these for two BBQ gazebos I was using for my outdoor garden booth as rain protection at an antique mall in northern California that is open year round. My booth area gets some fairly strong winds but my booth is against the building wall. The photos of this item show 4 straps for each bag to connect to the legs, but in both sets that I ordered, the bags only had two leg straps per bag. I would have preferred to have the four straps as the gazebo legs are only 1.6" square tubes.It has not been a problem so far. I don't think the number of straps matter that much for me due to the protection I have since it is used on gazebos with added protection against a wall. If I felt it necessary, I can always add the longer zip ties for added security. These were the least expensive sand bags for this purpose so I am satisfied with them. The carrying handle over the top is very useful/necessary.

They work Great, they seem durable and hold more sand than you think. A bag of play sand will fill two of these which is great because you want the weight. I mentioned that for your planning purposes a 40lb bag fills two bags. So buy two bags and if you are going to use this for something long term like a gazebo I would suggest getting two sets two bags per leg. If it is just short term like a 10 x 10 pop up for a craft show one set (20lbs per leg) should work if it’s not too windy. They carry pretty well with the handles but i would not suggest long distance carrying them put two in a 5 gallon industrial bucket to carry them that way as the bags are holding about 20 lbs San each. Highly recommended

The straps are a pair rather than 1 long one that could wrap around the pole and fasten back on the bag itself. These straps as is make it hard to get the bag snug against the pole. Bad design.
