Avanti 1.4CF Ref/Frz Compact Unit

Ordered this Fridge/Freezer on the 12th (a sunday night). I was THRILLED to find something that would be either a fridge or a freezer depending on my needs. Shipping estimate stated I would receive it by the 21-24. I received the fridge TODAY, the 14th! Holy smokes that's fast shipping! (to California). As I write this, it has been plugged in for an hour, and is already pretty chilly! I will update this review later, but for the moment, my initial impression is to be thrilled with this purchase. I was hesitant to purchase without being able to see the inside, so I dug around on other websites until I found one... The inside is roomier than I expected, and sort of upside down L shaped. The bottom (skinnier portion) is wide enough for a gallon of milk and there is a shelf for the top longer half. If I can, I will add a picture of the interior.Update. Still loving this Fridge/Freezer. Have been using it for a month now. I use it as a freezer for the moment. Definitely keeps everything frozen! It does make a small amount of noise, when the cooling element kicks on, but I would in NO WAY call it loud or intrusive.

Wonderful little fridge. I only used it as a freezer. My school housing came with a minifridge but I wanted to store frozen goods. After a long search, I found this and have been very happy with it being used solely as a freezer. It worked perfectly the entire time (it's boxed up in a garage right now). I would recommend it if you need a little freezer. No complaints whatsoever.One thing to note is that there is no automatic defroster so every month or so you have to get out the ice pick they give you and scrape it off. That being said, it's not a difficult task and the pile of "snow" is fun to play with. ;P

It is a nice unit. It is small but is a good refrigerator/freezer.

The fridge was a little bigger than I expected but lighter than the Danby compact fridge I had before. It was well packaged and cushioned and didn't have any dents, unlike the previous Danby fridge. Not only that it WORKED! Yay for me because my last Danby fridge was DOA. I waited for the 2 hours that was suggested in manual before plugging in the power. It's so quiet. No noise whatsoever. I could feel the coldness inside about an hour later. Now I had it yesterday. This morning I placed my drink inside with the setting on minimum, not realizing that this setting was minimum setting for FREEZER. At lunch time, I took out my drink and found that it was all iced up. Wow. I can't imagine how frozen food is going to get on maximum setting. So I just switched it back to refrigerator setting. The only thing that would make this compact fridge perfect is if there is two separate compartments, one for fridge and one for freezer. That way I can have both drinks and ice cream!Well the interior is rather small. Can't really put a lot of stuff in. Too bad. But it's good that there is no small chiller compartment that a lot of compact fridges have, where ice can build up.I can only cross my finger that this fridge will last me for many years!

It’s our second one. We retired the first one to hold drinks for our RV and this new one will hold extra frozen food. We liked and it could be adjusted to be a refrigerator or a freezer. Our first one is five years old and still running although it’s starting to lose its ability to deep freeze

Great freezer/fridge but the seal on the door leaks air so frost develops and it has to work hard to keep cold.

perfect for my motorhome

This a perfect combination unit. It is small,but does just what I want it to. This unit maintains a 38 to 40 degrees on the fridge side and a true zero or below on the freezer setting. It is fairly quiet and energy efficient too. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small unit for a camper or anything else. It will store a gallon or two of milk in the front and some shorter items on the small shelf behind.note it does maintain true temps hope this helps.
