Compact, easy to use, and works great!
TL;DR : If you hate fighting with water spots and you’re on the fence… put this in your cart and buy it!I debated between the Adam’s Standard 20lb and the CR DIC-20 for a long time and finally chose Adam’s. Out of the box it’s almost completely assembled, only requiring a couple of minutes for the bypass to be easily installed. The only additional accessory I’d recommend are quick disconnects for the in/out hoses to make setup and teardown faster if you’ll be moving it around like me. Results? While I try my best to avoid the sun, I have washed my car in direct sunlight without any water spot issues at all. I’ve used it now for 4-5 washes and I’m quite happy with my purchase. Highly recommended for the car detailing enthusiast (like me)! FYI, the Adam’s models are rebranded OTG DI’s and only differ cosmetically - mine even came drop-shipped with OTG on the shipping label and is essentially just a black OTG2-SDDIBP. I chose Adam’s since I prefer black vs OTG’s tan, and it was also a few dollars less due to an Amazon special.PROS: Easy to set up, very compact for easy storage, bypass included (a complicated and expensive add-on from CR), TDS meter included, and most importantly a true 0 PPM for NO WATER SPOTS! This unit also states that it’ll filter more water than the DIC-20 before needing a resin change. It also doesn’t have the disadvantage of requiring fiddly cartridges that don’t seal properly or the added expense of a third party conversion kit like the DIC-20. Doesn’t seem to reduce water flow GPM at all. Resin seems quicker/easier to change IMO vs DIC-20 based on videos of the process.CONS: There’s no denying that it’s expensive, but once you factor in the included bypass, TDS meter, and extra filter capacity it’s a better value IMO than the DIC-20. Weight? My model is a little over 20 lbs empty but quite a bit more than that once filled with water (an optional wheeled cart would be great), so the DIC-20 wins here if you have issues with lifting/carrying fairly heavy items. Doesn’t come with quick disconnects for the hoses which is almost a necessity if you move it to/from the garage every wash like I do, but those are pretty cheap to add - the OTG models show quick disconnects in their photos, but I can’t confirm if they’re included or not. The carry handle is literally a piece of rope that’s looped around where top of the unit screws into the tank - it works, but isn’t the most comfortable, especially once it’s filled with water. Will this cause any issues over time since it puts a lot of pressure on the plastic component it’s attached to? It seems solid enough for now.Final verdict? IMO this is a great DI solution for the enthusiast or small business pro detailer. It does a great job filtering my 185 PPM water to 0 PPM and makes washing my car much more leisurely and enjoyable since I don’t have to rush to dry the car. It’s expensive, but once you use it you’ll wonder why you didn’t buy it long ago.

Mixed feelings.....
This works great when the resin is fresh. I have very hard water. I did not measure the number of gallons used, but it would be ambitious say I used more than 150 gallons before spotting became very noticeable and now measures 350 on the TDS meter.

Know your TDS
I was able to wash two tractors, some cabinets and then it needed new resin. I only used the water deionizer to rinse the units, Don't look at the marketing claims because if you have hard water with high TDS you will not get much out of this before you have to spend 250 for two refills. Customer service is also a problem telling me to pull out the tube....and then it broke. If I had know this I would not of purchased this.

PPM Can be misleading
They advertise over 1,000 gallons of filtration with 100 PPM. This can be misleading. If you're like me in southern California, a lot of residents have a water system with 300-350+ PPM. What does this mean? You're only getting 1/3rd of the advertised filtration capacity (From 1,120 Gallons to 300-400) I wish I would've known that before I purchased this product but really it's only something you realize after receiving the product and tester. It just feels like I got jibbed a bit with the marketing tactic.Aside from that, performance and ease of access it surpasses with 5 stars. But this only gets 3 star rating overall.

Not worth the time or money
I bought this for my business and went threw two cycles of resin and on the second batch did even get 200 gallons of clean water it was a waste of money and my time trying to get it to work right I would not recommend this to anyone
