I ordered this desk for my handicapped sister who is in an electric chair. I wanted her to have plenty of room to get her chair up to the desk easily and quickly without being "tight". This desk is perfect as there is plenty of room to navigate with her chair. Not only is the desk beautiful and brigh white like we wanted, it is spacious and extremely sturdy which is needed in her situation. I must admit it did take me hours to put it together, but that's only because I'm slow. There was one occassion that I put one of the back boards on backwards and I fault the minimal directions for that. Luckily, I caught my mistake when I moved on to the next step and was able to undo the work easily. Delivery was timely as promised and the product was packed well with no damage. Very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it.

I really love this desk and would recommend it to anyone looking. I almost got the grey but the white also looks awesome. Its super modern looking and pretty sturdy for the price. The quality is as expected for a $200 desk. The drawers are nice to have.The instructions are a bunch of poop. They are not very detailed and dont really have worded instructions just pictures and each picture has like 4 steps in it so it gets confusing. However its manageable and can still be easily set up if you understand the game you played as a child with the shapes and the holes.

This is really an awesome looking desk. The wood and metal finish are very nice and match the look I was going for. The quality also seems pretty darn good. Not the absolute sturdiest thing but more than acceptable given it’s price. I definitely think this is better value for the money compared to some of that IKEA cardboard stuff. However one thing I would advise is that assembly is pretty tedious (around 2 hours for one person) so I definitely recommend having someone help you. With that being said though the functionality and design are great. Mine also shipped with wrapped with tons of packaging so the desk parts arrived absolutely flawless, which is not always the case with these kinds of things. Overall I’m very satisfied with this desk.

As a number of reviews indicate, the instructions are not quite what they should be.1 Measure twice, cut once.2 The 18 page instructions consist of 10 pages of numbered and lettered parts and 8 pages of drawings (no actual instructions) showing how the various parts fit together. Separate pages 1-10 and 11-18 so you are able to view the parts list and the drawings side by side. Use the handy little ruler on page 10 to make sure you are using the correct screw size.3 The instructions are available online. Look for “Monarch Specialties I7146 instructions”.You will find a few places where the drawing isn’t as clear as it might be. Going to that page online and zooming in to make it larger will help you determine what to do.4 Measure twice, cut once.5 The tools you will need are a medium size phillips-head screwdriver to get screws started, a power drill to finish inserting the crew, and a tack hammer.6 There are some dowel holes that go unused. I assume that is because some parts are also used in other products that have different requirements. Always study the drawing to make certain you are using the proper hole and not the one next to it.7 Measure twice, cut once.8 The desktop is 30” high. You may find typing on a keyboard sitting on top of the desk to be too high for you. I planned all along to add a keyboard tray that slides in and out from under the desktop. Make sure you select a tray where the clamps can spread to 1¾” apart. Many of them cannot.9 There is a little drawing on the first page of the instructions showing the correct and incorrect ways to insert a dowel. There should also be verbiage saying something like this: When tapping a dowel into place, first study the part that will later be attached to the other end of the dowel. Make sure you put the dowel far enough into place so that what is left exposed will not push through the other side of the second piece.10 See 1, 4, and 7

the manufactured material used to make this desk is really low quality so expect lots of scuffs, stains and scrapes very easily especially on the white version. for the price i was disappointed with how cheap the material feels. however it was fairly easily assembled and appears to be sturdy but temper your expectations or save your money

I work at home some, and needed a good sturdy desk to have room for my laptop and extended monitor. This is the perfect size, very sturdy, and looks great. I assembled myself, which wasn’t too difficult but took a couple hours at least. The only problem I had was installing the tracks in the right direction. I had to remove them a couple times and redo. This could have been avoided with bigger pictures. Otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase. Great value for my money.

Desk has a lot of surface space, is sleek and modern & was easy to assemble.
