Common Core Student Edition Volume 2 Grade K 2014 (Journeys)

I found this book at my granddaughter's kindergarten reading class but the teacher was using other materials. What is great about this book is it concentrates on simple 3-letter words (consonant-vowel-consonant) which kids need a lot of practice reading in the beginning. The book also offers some sight words in the beginning of each unit. My granddaughter really enjoys the cute stories some of which are illustrated and some are photographs - lots of adorable baby animals. So we are halfway through now and when we finish I would like us to read it again. So far, my granddaughter wants to sound out every letter of each word and then blend them but she is beginning to recognize some of these words because they are repeated so often. This is a great first reader for kindergarteners!

Arrived quickly and was great. My daughter is in Kindergarten and this is the book they use to practice at school so I wanted her to have one at home so she can also practice at home. It's been great and she can now read from the 1st grade level book from the same company

I bought this "never used" paperback copy of Journeys Volume 2 Grade K 2014 for tutoring. Saved a lot of money and helped someone who is learning to read.
