perfect for my home gym
This high-quality item, like most, comes with a slight bit of rust in the swivel handle, easily fixed with WD-40. It seems like this will last for years. I am very happy with it; it's very well-made.

Exactly what I wanted
Good fit. knurling is not too aggressive. Only con I'd say is that the chrome is a little tarnished at the bends. It looks like they could've done a better job. We'll see if rust starts.

A nice bar with an issue!
Just received my bar. The bar itself looks really nice. The knurling for the grip is really nice with no sharp areas. The bar is solid with some weight. Now, the bad stuff. The center piece that swivels was making such a high pitched squeal that I couldn’t even complete my bicep workout. It was totally obnoxious. I was ready to package it back up and send it back but decided to try some WD40. After spraying the center piece, rust starting dripping out. After 5 mins of spraying and cleaning it, it’s 95% better. Still makes a squeal once in awhile but much better. I believe the internals of the center piece that swivels has been rusted out. Not happy about that.

Nice bar but not as pictured... and resist the urge to apply grease
Received my bar today and as others have noted it's not as pictured. It looks like the MB229A bar which is a solid steel bar with knurled instead of rubber grips; bonus! It also doesn't say body-solid anywhere on the bar or packaging, but looks like a quality piece all the same. I applied grease in the hole in the center piece as some suggested and immediately regretted it. I discovered the grease then has a tenancy to squeeze out. Since my bar may very well sit on a carpeted area, that's a problem. WD40 or some other type of dry lubricant may be a better way to go; duh. I also wish the inside bend angels were a little more steep. Otherwise, it's a good deal for the price and should last a lifetime.
