Time Zero (The Time Zero Trilogy Book 1)

different
great book, set in dystopian type future, read it in one go as I was hooked, didn't like the end at all, but that's just me-possibly because its going to be a series and next one will probably be a long wait-usually read trilogys and more that are complete-or at least 2 are available

A must for teenage readers...
This is a gripping novel that I couldn't put down. Intelligent, complex and fast moving with beautifully drawn characters, Time Zero paints a picture of a future Manhattan which has been walled off and is ruled by religious extremists. Women are not allowed to read and must be obedient to men. The central love story set against a backdrop of fear and oppression could be set in many places around the world right now. This novel is a great way to open up discussions about power, religion and equality. Beautifully written. I can't wait for the follow up book.

Amazing!! I’m desperate for more
I hardly ever review books, but this one was just so good I just had to! Such a good read, I couldn’t put it down. It has just enough fantasy to lift the parts where it’s surprisingly similar to the way some women are treated in the world. Can’t wait for the sequel

Gripping read
I was compelled to keep reading and was so disappointed to not be able to purchase the next instalment. It really mAkes you think goo about our world in terms of prejudice and inequality

Disappointing
Didn't really enjoy this as I'd hoped. There are better versions of the genre.

Gripping read
I loved this story, I loved Mina and Juda, struggles on a daily basis. Aimed at young adult audience still brilliant. Left wanting to know what happens next in book 2, 3 books in series.

Not for me
Think about every horrible views on islam/muslims and this book has used that. The characters are not relatable to me because i can't get past the actual religious stereotypes that have been used. I am a lover of dystopian books and have read different versions of similar concepts but this has not appealed to me as much as i thought it would. Mainly because of the stereotypes and the lack of originality.
