This is a great way to keep the soap up out of the water. Easy to clean and attractive.

These pieces are all quite nice. I have several in the collection.I must warn others, the pieces appear to possibly be made in different factories as the shapes are not entirely consistent. I have 2 soap dishes, one is rounded on the edge and the other is more sharp on the edge. Same with the cotton ball holder.Also, being made of natural stone, there is some pretty dramatic color variation from piece to piece. From all the pieces I purchased, I can identify 3 distinct colors ranging from a dark beige, to a neutral beige, to a nearly ivory color. I placed them on a double vanity so was able to match enough pieces sitting next to one another in sets and place them all far enough apart that you can't really tell at first glance how different they are. But, I probably would not have been happy if I only had one set and they came in all different colors.They still look nice and are good quality. Overall, I am happy.

This soapdish appears to be designed for typical bathroom sink use. It's two parts - a tray that doesn't drain and a slotted top part that rests in the tray. Probably great for sink usage where there's not a lot of water involved.What I needed was a soapdish for a fairly wide shelf in my shower that looked nice with the travertine tile in there. The tray would have filled with water every time and probably been a mildew issue, so I only used the inset. I put silicon cabinet stops on the bottom as feet to allow air flow underneath. Now I've got a gorgeous soap dish that allows my soap to dry and doesn't cause any problems (like mold).Just ordered another one for our guest shower, too.

My shower doesn't have a built in soap shelf and I had been storing the bar of soap on one of the corners of the tub. The water doesn't drain very well from that area and was leaving the soap soggy. So I bought this to keep the soap on and out of any puddles.The tray has two pieces but I'm not using the base since it would also collect water. Instead I just use the top half in the shower and I've put the base out on the bathroom counter. I'm pretty happy with the shower set up now. Exactly what I needed.Only issue was that the base arrived with one of the corners slightly chipped. Wasn't super noticeable so I didn't bother returning it.

Soap tends to slip off and the marble where the soap seats have sharp edges.

This soap dish is especially nice. It fits right in with my décor! It's genuine stone, and has a nice heft to it (especially for a soap dish!) which imparts a very luxurious look and feel. It comes in two parts, which makes it especially easy to clean. And, as a soap dish, it's very effective in reducing mushy soap because of the deep grooves in the dish. Very highly recommended

I have tried many soap dishes looking for one that is attractive and keeps the soap from disappearing into a sludgy mess. This one does the job. It is a little expensive, but will save $ by not having to put in a new bar of soap when the soap drains away. Easy to clean and easy on the eye. (I liked it so much, I bought three!)
