A Quiet Place Part II [Blu-ray] [2021] [Region A & B & C]

The Blu-ray arrived in phenomenal condition and I cannot wait to watch both movies before I see Day One at the weekend!

Nice follow up to the 1st movie

A Quiet Place 2 manages to overcome the difficulties of producing a quality sequel to an already fantastic original movie. Taking what was so great about the original movie, this sequel again builds tension using audio amazingly well along with a solid story and smart cinematic sequences that led to me thoroughly enjoying this movie.The GoodThe audio track is brilliantClever cinematographyEngaging acting and storytellingThe BadAliens feel less of a threatVoices are sometimes hard to hearBasic physical packagingThe one thing this movie does very well is it makes you feel for the characters, you truly understand their struggle to survive in this apocalyptic world. This helps you get fully involved in the movie, you find yourself willing them on, wanting them to reach safety. Especially Regan Abbott from the first movie who plays a much more mature protector style role who wants to do her bit to help her family after losing her father.The storytelling and cinematography in this film are 1st class, with transitions and filming all flowing very well together when you jump between the story paths of different characters. At times it is a very pretty movie, despite the circumstances, the characters are in.The favourite thing for me about these movies is the audio, and the sequel did not disappoint. The times where audio is completely cut and everything is silent is not something you get used to in a film and it really gives you an idea of how it must be for Regan with her hearing disability in that world. Once the action starts the audio stage really ramps up and sounds fantastic on my 5.1 surround sound, this is a movie that demands the volume to be turned up. The only thing I would note is sometimes voices can be a little difficult to hear.Finally, the one thing that makes this film lose its appeal to me is the feeling that the aliens are a threat to the characters. Near the end of the film, you learn of something that makes the universe less believable in my eyes. To avoid giving away too much that is all I will say.For physical collectors, the packaging is rather basic. You get a slipcover with a 4k and standard Blu Ray disc that does not feature any artwork.

Ideal condition, good movie

Very tense. I am now waiting for Quiet Place Number 3. It kept me watching it all the time. Loved it. I hope there is a number 2 because if not, the film I felt left it hanging. I was shocked when it finished where it did.

If you liked Part ONE I can't see you not enjoying part TWO (probably). I found it to be a bit annoying again, as surely these "aliens" could have been destroyed by now?? Still good fun anda good print, picture, sound and subtitles. Hope there isn't a number 3 as I am a bit of a completist, and would have to get it!!
