Q: can adults take a bath in it?

I'll tell you what, janna...I am a "prepper", and I have tried to stock up on everything one may need to "make it" if we loose power or otherwise have no way to get out and buy what we need, nor draw a nice tub bath from the spigot in the bathroom. Yes, I bought that round tub for the possibility of having to wash clothes over an open fire (fire pit was built), or even for taking a bath. Our grandparents and great grandparents lived from sponge bath to sponge bath and an occasional tub bath in this sort of wash tub. Yes, an adult could take a bath in it. Your knees would be bent up though, but you could. Tell you what, if I were to buy two tubs, one for laundry and one for bathing, I would consider the galvanized oval tub Behlen Country ST214 44-Gallon Shallow Galvanized Round-End Tank. More money, but 4' long. But I'm happy with mine. Fits over my round fire pit grate really well. Good luck

Yes, the tub has been "hot dipped" to make it galvanized. I was not pleased with the excess that dripped off the handles and left sharp edges that did actually cut me. However, I have had it outside in all weather, and it has held up well.

It is a # 2 15 gallon tub. This is one tub only. When they say a number before the gallon size, it means that the tub is classed as a #2 tub. There is a #4 tub as well.

Q: does this come in any kind of packaging?

The ones I purchased were shipped in an Amazon cardboard box.
