Essential for a retro setup
This is one of those things that just perfectly brings old tech a little closer to the modern age. I've got a retro gaming setup with 10 consoles connected at one time, and 3 of those are this Sega combo. Spacewise it's fine, but with each system requiring it's own large heavy 90's power brick, I was struggling to get them all to play nicely in any kind of power strip arrangement. But this solves it all, elegantly and efficiently. I'm happy to say it's working great out of the box, and has been one step at least towards greatly simplifying my setup.

Such an elegant solution to the Sega power supply issue
The original power supply for my Sega CD failed, and I had been getting these ads for a while anyway, so I figured what the heck, try it. So glad I did, not only did this let me replace my Genesis, 32X, and Sega CD power supplies with a single unit, but I was also able to place my SNES power supply, and this powers them all *at the same time*. Such a great device. The the one reviewer who said this provides "too much power" and his genesis "stays on even when powered off" - that's literally impossible, and his system just has a stuck power button, so maybe they'll see this, fix their button, and update the review because it's misleading. Anyway, I highly recommend this, even if you don't have the full tower or power and just have an SNES and Genesis, or a Genesis and/or 32X and/or Sega CD.

Convenient
This product works wonderfully, allowing me to power several gaming consoles simultaneously through one cable.

This is convenient and you can't plug the wrong ends into the wrong thing.
I'm a tinkerer, and I love to cut things up, solder things etc. I was going to make my own power cable. I thought the price for this might have been a bit high. Then I realized the polarities on some of the Sega equipment were reversed, and if I did something wrong I could blow out components that are now collectable. I decided it was worth the cost to save me that trouble. This is very easy to set up, the cables do not make much of a mess behind whatever system configuration you have set up, and it is nice not to have 2 or 3 giant wallwarts taking up space on a power strip just to play Sega Genesis/CD/32X games. I can't recommend this enough. Combine this with some (modern) wireless Genesis controllers and an HDMI adapter, and a power strip or Alexa smart plug, and you can power up and game like a modern console.

Wow!!!
I was able to bag 3 brick adapter in place of this all in one adapter. So much easier to plug in too with the wall plug being smaller. No more blocking countless outlets with the bulky brick adapters. I needed this years ago. Another reason to buy this is to have a new adapter. I recently had an original adapter die on me. The original brick adapters are nearly 30 years old at this point. I highly recommend this!

Saves outlet space
I have a Genesis model 1 and a Sega CD model 2. I love this setup and I love the games, but two power supplies on top of the power supplies for my scaling equipment is a major pain. Now I can use my Genesis/CD combo with only one outlet. Didn't test with a 32X but the Mega Everdrive works too. There's another review on here saying all 3 with the Everdrive might draw too much power but for my use case it's perfectly fine.

Suspicious behavior with full tower on some older models
Does weird things with Mega Everdrive Pro combined with 32X and Sega CD (Everdrive glitches out). Was fine with just a Genesis model 2and Sega CD2.Suspiciously, my Genesis capacitors went out after plugging a 32X into this thing (video colors were blown out). Thankfully I was able to fix it with a full repair/re-cap of the Genesis. I will be using the OEM power supplies from now on as they have no issues.I recommend any collector learn basic soldering skills so they can replace the capacitors in their systems and power supplies, rather than use these types of all-in-one solutions which may speed up the death of your collectible game console. The product however is mostly fine and might supply more power than your system needs.

Works great and safes space
Works great and safes space! This power supply does work with official Sega Genesis model 2 and attached CD unit model 2. It’s great value for the price. Look no further. I even like it better than Castlevania power unit due to this having everything you need to plug & play. Only issue is the length of the power cables heads fitted side. Is on the short side of your terminal. Otherwise great and the power supply cables are long.
