A Great Album From Rock's Underrated Genius
Between the ripping solo of 'On the Wrong Side', nocturnal pleasure of 'Scream' and catchy chorus in 'Blue Light', there's still plenty of odes to Buckingham's older, rockier days on here. Some stuff that would almost put Out of the Cradle to shame. But equally, most of this album echoes shades of Seeds We Sow, or Under the Skin - some seminal stuff, like the jarring 'Swan Song', or poison letter in the album's closer, 'Dancing'.Sadly, I have to say this is not Lindsey's best work. Nothing can beat OOTC or Go Insane for me, but it fails to reach the heights of 2011's SWS. This is still some thoughtful, reflective work from a true rock 'n roll visionary, but his magnum opus, tragically it isn't. Still, I recommend a listen; you're bound to find something you keep hold of.In terms of the physical thing, it's also a bit of a let-down. A very thin digipack that opens out; the lyrics written across the inside. No booklet at all, and the CD itself is rather plain. Which is a bit of a shame, but at least you focus on the music.

Frustratingly Brilliant
Previous LB albums have been a bit hit and miss for me - don't get me wrong, I think the guy's a genius - with 2 or 3 absolute crackers, a few good tracks and a few duds that were often a bit superfluous and messy. I consider Tusk to be in the same light - a brilliant single album hidden in an OK double. This however is, imho, his best solo album in terms of consistent quality. It's only 36 mins long, and appears to have been stripped of anything that isn't top notch. It is all in typical LB style - he played everything and recorded at home - so it's very reliant on drum sequencing etc, which to some ears can sound a bit flat but it is the sound he is recognisable for. The arrangements and little touches of genius, eg using voice as an instrument, are very much on top form and every song is a delight. The guitar playing is, of course, first class. My frustration is that 2 or 3 of these would have made Fleetwood Mac gems if Stevie hadn't gone all prima donna on his potential return to the fold. 'Blind Love' - brilliant though it is in solo form - just cries out for some Christine McVie harmonies, Nicks ethereal voice and human-touch drumming from Fleetwood. So I keep thinking "Oh this would be great if the band played it" on some tracks. A missed opportunity that I am sure Mick Fleetwood will regret. That said, it's a brilliant solo effort and I thoroughly recommend it.

Pretty Much Fautless
I can never get fed up of Lindsey Buckingham's guitar playing. His finger-picking style on this album is as exquisite as anyone could wish for.

Excellent album: Lyndsey Buckingham by L..B..
Multi-talented - I.e. singer/songwriter,guitarist,producer et al..Lyndsey Buckingham; released his self-titled and sixth solo studio album in late 2021.By and large it is a fine selection of acoustic and electric guitar playing, upbeat 'melodic rock' and ballads - as you would probably excpect from LB.Ten tracks in total: my cherry pickers are; on the wrong side (a single release),Blind love,Time - (lyrically thought provoking),Blue light (optimistic, feelgood vibes),Santa Rosa (hints of his marriage breakup?) and the melancholic and quite moving closing track: Dancing. The former Fleetwood Mac legend is - on the whole - in a confident mood and musically on fine form with his nifty and intense guitar playing style.I have come pretty late to appreciating Lyndsey Buckingham's solo work, despite being a huge fan of his time in Fleetwood Mac,and this eponymous l.p. release is well worth the wait.Package comes in fold out cardboard sleeve, full lyrics and credits and thank you's included. An excellent - not quite classic album by LB - but still well recommended.N.B. excellent sound quality and production? on the cd album.

Masterpiece album
An absolutely superb album. Lindsey Buckingham's output since 2006's acoustic-driven "Under the Skin" has been stellar. Though 10 years separate 2011's "Seeds We Sow" from this release, we're still in the same universe. An electric guitar "Second Hand News"-feeling track here ("Scream"), a "Tusk" recalling rocker there ("On the Wrong Side") and a harmony-FM-sounding track to top it all off ("I Don't Mind") - Lindsey is firing on all cylinders here. The sound of the vinyl pressing is superb and plays gorgeously. Very satisfied with this purchase and highly, highly recommend this visionary's new vision! Here's to a new album in 2023.

Superb! Awesome i Cudna plyta tego wykonawcy. Goraco polecam.
