Joel Meyerowitz: Cape Light

This edition features a new printing of the original prints, using digital technology to render the originals. I'm especially taken with the images made at dusk. I learned to use Minor White's Zone System in creating black and white images, and these pictures provide a full range of tones and color at the low end of the spectrum. The images are zen-like and I feel calmed when I look at them. For years I had two posters framed and hanging, and they were ruined in a move. The book more than makes up for their loss.

A let down
For whoever has lived on the Cape this book is a complete disappointment. Focused primarily on Provincetown the photos are not representative of the beauty one finds on the Cape and fail to capture the amazing light of the Cape.

Amazing
Amazing book, Meyerowitz's studies of the light and landscape show a real love and deep understanding of the landscape that he immersed himself in while living in Cape Cod.

Beautiful work, well published
Good quality photography books are never cheap but this is well published, with amazing work from a real master of his craft. An excellent addition to any photographers library.

Buona riedizione moderna

I'm a fan of this book.
I am not a huge fan of Joel Meyerowitz, but this book won me over. The pictures contained in the book are incredible. The choice of subject, light, camera and film often produce images that are ethereal. The compositions show a particular sensitivity that I have never before seen from Mr. Meyerowitz. This is the only Meyerowitz book that I have ever chosen to buy and after a thorough review I am certainly happy to own it. Highly recommended.

Consigliatissimo
