The Hydrodynamic Sponge Filter is a revolutionary new way to efficiently filter your aquariums! The Hydrodynamic Sponge Filter is made from the highest grade Reticulated Foam (from the USA) and is made right here in Cleveland, Ohio. The sponge is CNC machine cut for a precision fit. The lift tube is made in our shop. The Hydrodynamic Sponge Filter comes CNC Precision Cut to size for your aquarium. Standard width tanks include one lift tube and breeder tanks come with two lift tubes, with the hole pre-drilled for drop in easy installation. We offer all standard sizes up to 40 gallon Breeder, and custom sizes are available - just contact us for a quote. We can make them any size, even for 125 gallon tanks! They are 100% safe for freshwater and saltwater aquariums, and are very popular with stores and breeders alike. Our filters are 2" thick and feature 40 PPI (pores per inch) material, which offers the largest surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize of any sponge filter on the market. This means that these filters can last a long time and handle a much larger bio load than other sponge filters. These filters look great when installed and only need to be cleaned once about every six months, depending on the bio load you are carrying. At some stores, we have these filters installed and housing 50+ fish per filter with crystal clear water! These are great for Cichlids, Live Bearers, Shrimp, Breeders and more! You will need an air supply to power these filters. The filter works with or without an air stone. Air stones will increase efficiency even more than without, however don't forget that air stones can clog. This may increase maintenance intervals.
