I definitely enjoyed it and recommend it. I'm extremely stingy with 5* reviews and that's why it gets 4. Honestly it's a 4.5 lol just was missing something for me I guess. Super great twists and I didn't guess the end which I truly love! Will continue to follow and read this author for sure!!

I really enjoyed the pacing of this book and the multitude of ideas that Freida puts in the readers mind. I was always double guessing who did it, even to the point of doubting the main character. I had just read Ward D and the plot twist hit a lot heavier for me in that book, but this one still sits right up at the top of my recommended.

I never expected that twist!!! I love how this book keeps you on your toes and you can’t tell who the killer is until the very end and boy will it blow your mind!!! This is a must read if you like suspenseful thrillers!!! Can’t wait to read more like it!

Me and my wife decided to do a weekly book club with just her and I. This was the first book she chose and we finished it in two days. For me being a person who hasn't read an actual book in a few years, this one was amazing

I never read anything by this author before, but I needed something new. It was indeed, a page turner. Some of it was a bit gruesome for my taste, but it was not overwhelming. It kept moving and you could not figure out who the villain was. The unexpected ending took care of that. I will have to check out some more of this author's stories. If you like mysteries, this is a good one.

I rate it 4.75 just for the fact the twist wasn’t a really imbedded part of the story. Felt off to me given the story line. I love Frieda McFadden’ writing though, so I judge harder on her stuff. This one had me surprised and still feel like the ending was going to change at any second. I’m a big fan of her books so I look forward to more!

É o primeiro livro que eu leio da autora e não tenho certeza se é uma característica da escrita dela, mas Nora é mais uma protagonista de Thriller sem carisma algum. Eu não sei o que acontece que as protagonistas do gênero são pessoas com uma única característica e fica difícil de criar alguma simpatia. Nora é uma cirurgiã solitária e é só isso, ela não tem 10 minutos para trocar de roupa antes de ir para a delegacia. Ela frequenta bares usando pijama cirúrgico porque ela é um personagem unidimensional. A história em si não é ruim, mas eu literalmente não tinha nenhum sentimento do tipo estou torcendo pelo bem ou pelo mal dessa personagem.

英語が平易で読みやすいので多読向き。よくあるサスペンスという感じであまり目新しいものではない。主人公が自分の置かれた状況からして元彼を心底から信用しきれないのは分かるのだが、結果的に元彼を振り回し、突然気分を害して帰ったり急に頼ろうとしたりする。これでよく元彼が主人公を好きになったなと思う。あと、殺人鬼の娘だというだけで警察が来たり、礼状もなしに家を見せろと言う。その割には大した質問もせず、反論すると帰っていく。警察の人が読んだら怒るんじゃないかと思う。

殺人鬼の父を持つＮｏｒａは自分の過去を隠して生きていくことを決断。　外科医として静かに生活していたが、父の再来を思わせる連続殺人事件が起こる。　その父は現在刑務所に収監されているはず。そして、誰かが自分を陥れようと罠を仕掛ける。誰が犯人か、同僚、ボーイフレンド？　先が読めず、ワクワクしながらなかなか途中で止めれない。英語も比較的読みやすくペーパーバック初心者にもお勧めです。　また、最後の謝辞にクスっと笑えるエピソードもあります。　現在、同じ作家さんの３冊目の作品を読んでます。

読みやすい英語で、ストーリーも上手に変化球が入り、いいペースで読み進められます。ただし、主人公への感情移入ができずその辺がどっぷりと世界観に浸ることが出来ませんでした。しかしながら、非常に読みやすいため、(私は5日間で終りました)英語の勉強のためにはお勧めです。
