USB 2.0 Video Grabber for Windows 10 and macOS Catalina (Updated Version, AVCB01,Black)

Works well--to handle the hardware part of digitizing old VHS tapes. Comes with EZCAP video capture software for Mac and Windows, which worked fine on my iMac. Resolution limited to 640x480 but this is about all you can get out of VHS tapes so that's no problem.

Hardware works great. Software would not load on my Win10 machine. Downloaded from ArcSoft, and successfully transferred one VHS video. On the second one, it failed with the dreaded "copyright protected" error. After searching my entire hard drive, I discovered the download version no longer has a ini file to alter in order to get it to work. After hours of searching similar programs on the web, the best free one that works is "Open Broadcaster Software. Highly rated, efficient, and works. It runs in the background. It captures sound, without playing the sound on your speaker. And, it has a timer.

This would not work. It said our home videos were copyrighted material, so they couldn't be converted.

I had been leery of this sort of device, some kinds may not be as compatible as one would hope.This works just as one would hope.I use a MAC series 5,1, OSX 10.7.5I'm not comfortable with newer OS releases, so far.

Great for hooking up to VCR and getting the old home movies saved to computer. Now we are able to watch home movies digitally with no worries of losing them.

It is not working for my IMac as the product said

Worked for about 2 minutes, then said that it could not record copyrighted video. I was trying to record old home videos. Thank goodness for Amazon's return policy. This baby is gone!

Works well when used with the accompanying software.
