Still yummy after 50+ years!!
I take a guilty pleasure in loving this cereal. I'm sure it has not much real nutritional value but I don't buy it for healthy benefits. I buy it for taste bud happiness and a nostalgic connection to my childhood.I'm old enough to remember when this cereal first debuted and it was around 1971. At that time they made only Count Chocula and Frankenberry. I was in grade-school and my mom didn't let us kids eat too much sugary cereals except for as an occasional treat. I loved these cereals because they tasted so good with their big chunky cereal and tons of monster marshmallows and it turned your milk into either chocolate milk or Strawberry depending on whichever one you had. Plus it was a special treat. They also used to put "prizes" in the boxes back then. It was always a stupid cheap little plastic toy but it was a treasure to dig for and fight over the thing with siblings.Skip ahead 50+ years. I still only have this cereal on rare occasions. Usually around Halloween time because it seems that's the only time it's readily available. Amazon has it at a very reasonable price and it arrives fresh and fast when I order it here.My new twist with the count chocula is to dump a few handfuls over some vanilla ice-cream as a topping. It's really good!! I also eat it straight from the box as a dry snack. I suppose it's a healthier choice than potato chips, given the cereal is low in fat and actually does have several vitamins in it. And besidesI'll go back to celery sticks again in January. Lol

Maybe made in Mexico? Delicious regardless...VERY flavorful and fresh
Something was weird/good with the box I got. The printing was pale on the whole thing. Spanish language on it too. Well, it tasted amazing! The grain was so flavorful. Odd to rave over a cereal but Im really wondering if this was made in Mexico with better raw materials than the bigAg polluted stuff were eating from USA grain.

Count Chocula does not actually "count". Boo Berries too ghostly to ship...
Count Chocula; When asked to count, box of cereal rudely ignored me, and refused to answer. Tasted fine.Boo Berries; What plant are these strange berries from?

My childhood fave!
I get so giddy seeing my fave back inna day cereal available around this time of year. I got really giddy when I saw the Monster Cereal Crocs. But that's another review. Back to the cereal, I loved Franken Berry and Count Chocula, too, but my favorite was definitely Boo Berry. I used to think they Boo and Casper, The Friendly Ghost, were buddies. I have one fond memory of my mother bringing home a box of Boo Berry and me digging into it with reckless abandon and biting down on something hard. Yes, folks, I almost ate the toy inside.I haven't had this cereal in about 45 years and can't recall exactly how it tasted in the 70s. But I know it tasted better than it does now. Sorry, General Mills, but I've heard you've changed the recipe and it's noticeable. Don't get me wrong. The cereal is still edible. Just...different. It had a perfum-y, or some kind of weird aftertaste, for a minute after eating it. On that note, it was nice to revisit but I'll just hold on to my old Boo Berry memories and call it a day.

Definitely would buy again!
A great price on the cereal brand. Way cheaper than in the grocery store.

Favorite Cereal of all TIme
Count Chocula is soooo good. I have loved it since the 1970s! There really is nothing quite like it, and it's pretty much the only cereal I actually love to eat. It is like a breakfast and a dessert both, and it makes the best chocolate milk ever - and yeah I love the vampire imagery that comes with it which is perfect for the Halloween season. I know there are other monster cereals that go with it, and I have tried them all, but Count Chocula is the only one I will eat and really seriously enjoy every single time.
