CamcoEAZ-Lift Elite 800lb Weight Distribution Hitch Kit with Sway Control (48057)

I am familiar with pulling equipment and vehicles around with a large flat deck car trailer. I have a 3/4 ton suburban that I use for shuffling just about anything I need. I did not realize I was doing it incorrectly until recently when I learned that all factory tow ratings for passenger vehicles were only valid for vehicles with weight distribution hitches installed. This verbiage is legitimately contained in the owners manual for my suburban. My only goal for this purchase was to maintain compliance but I was absolutely amazed with the difference in handling I experienced by using this hitch setup. I will never pull a loaded trailer or camper without a weight distribution hitch again.This particular example was very easy to install and setup when needed. It was also very easy to disconnect and remove when it was time to unhook. I cannot speak to its longevity yet as I've only got about 100 miles on it so far but it does appear to be made well and nothing about its construction gave me any concern on whether or not it was up for the task.

Works well. Initial quality is great considering the price. My only real issue is that it's barely low enough at the lowest drop setting for my trailer. And that's on a Toyota 4runner that has a pretty average height hitch. My trailer is about 19" to bottom of coupler. So it is higher than average. And it works great. But it was close. I'm not sure it would drop enough for some full size trucks even completely stock.For me - works great. Easy install. Would buy again.

This is a great hitch that I use on a 5000lbs trailer and pull it with a small truck (Nissan Frontier). The hitch and sway control make pulling it with my truck a breeze. It is much safer and handles significantly better. Only issue I have is that it doesnt help with my gas mileage!!!One minor issue and why I gave it a 4 star for install was mounting the sway control bracket. Mounting the bracket required I remove and relocate my propane line for my RV. Outside of this trailer specific issue, the hitch and sway control was not difficult to install despite me doing it by myself. A second set of hands is nice, but not necessary.

This is a very well made, solid hitch. The insert body tube is solid steel! Had zero problems mounting and hooking up - except the trailer tongue had a junction box right where the driver's side bar base needed to go. This wasn't the hitch company's fault - it was the trailer manufacturer's - seems like it should have been obvious a load-leveling hitch would need to have a part that would go in that spot. However, I simply moved the junction box 2 inches to the rear, and all was well. You do need to follow the lubricating directions carefully though. I was kind if scotch on the amount of grease on the sway bar balls and in the leveling bar cavities, and after the first day's travel in wet conditions, it really squeaked and groaned the next morning when I started out. Added a little more grease, and it was fine. Of course, when you remove the hitch, you have to be careful to not get grease all over you and anything the components touch!

Came on time, just a little dinged up which is understandable for the size and weight of package. I couldn’t be happier with my decision!

Works perfect on my 3000 pound trailer

I bought this hitch a few months back when the price was low, and have only just now got around to installing it. I'll say I'm pleasantly surprised! The instructions that come with this hitch are very detailed and makes installation as easy as possible. As for how the trailer now tows, it's much better then it was with a plain old tow bar. The sag on the truck is minimal (1 1/2") and although I haven't installed the sway control bar, the sway has already greatly reduced in windy conditions.Overall I'm very happy with the quality and performance of this hitch and would definitely recommend it to anyone pulling a trailer.

This product does exactly as intended, and it was night/day difference in the feeling of how the vehicle pulled our camping trailer.

This is a simple and effective design, easy to hook-up, and comes with everything you need to install. Assembly is straightforward and the hitch works great. I had to make a correction to the ball height and found the threads on the grade 5 bolts starting to shred. I upgraded to grade 8 bolts.

Works great for my trailer. I had a machine shop drill a second hole in the shank so the ball would be closer to my bumper.
