Deals well with higher voltage requirements of irons and heating appliances
Works great I have several mostly to use with gravity feed and other irons that do not have Auto shut-off. It's also very useful for a boot dryer that does not have Auto shut-off. It does deal well with a good bit of current which is nice and it lets you select what you want TimeWise at the push of the button without scrolling through 17 options like some other products. It's easy to mount with zip ties to a convenient location. I bought these things again and again by various Sellers and absolutely love them

Great gadget
I love this gadget. You just punch a button to turn on a preset time and it turns itself off automatically. Easy to use and will save electricity. I hope it lasts a long time.

Useful+Multiple Settings+Functionable+Value Priced - Excellent!
Really happy with this electrical timer. It has a 3 prong outlet so cords with a ground can be connected as well as plugs with only 2 wires. It works like a Smart Device but it's automatic when the Repeat setting is also turned on. I use the Stanley Countdown Timer for controlling a Bug Zapper. I have it set for 6 hours at night. In the morning it's off but turns the Bug Zapper back on the same time every night with the Repeat function on. The timer does need to be connected to an outlet that is sheltered from rain and water. It is not waterproof. For a specific purpose it's very handy. I also plan to use it to control Christmas lights... Set the hours, push repeat and the job is done!

It works as a shutoff timer
I use a food dehydrator to dry paints during the building of plastic scale models. This timer allows me to run the dehydrator for a limited amount of time at the end of my paint session. It just works. simple to use, although your selections as to running time are limited to those presets on the timer, so for precision applications this might not be the best choice. But for non critical applications like mine, where 15 minutes more or less doesn't matter, it is a good buy.

Easy to use - Lacks granularity and Lapsed time indicator
I got this unit and it is EXTREMELEY easy to use. One touch and you've got power from 15 minutes to 6 hours.Couple small caveats. The buttons are not cumulative. In other words, if you want 3 hours instead of 2 or 4, it does not work to push the "2" and the "1" hour buttons. You have to come back after 2 hours expires and press the 1 hour button for a second run, that's the only way to get a time that's not explicitly listed on the buttons. Also - There is no way to tell how long a cycle has been running. For instance, if you start a 4 hour cycle on an appliance before you clock out and go home... and then your relief comes on duty... they have no way to tell how long the timer has been running already, and no way to guess how long it has left to go. It shuts off when it gets to the end of the cycle, no "in progress" indicator other than a glowing indicator light showing the circuit is "on".It's a very simple, rudimentary device and for ease of use, it excels. Just keep in mind the limitations.

Great timer
I purchased a couple of these to use with towel warmers in the bathrooms at our cottage so I wouldn't have to worry about kids or guests leaving the heater on when we weren't there for a couple of weeks. They work great! I purchased another one to use for a space heater in my daughter's bedroom. It turns off the heater after the set time so I don't have to worry about her leaving the heater on for days at a time.

Simple one button operation
Programmable electronic timers are very handy, but sometimes you may not want to fuss with all of the button pressing/menu diving that some of them require. For those instances, this timer is extremely easy to use - you just press one of the six pre-programmed time options. The unit was smaller than I thought it would be, but overall, that's a good thing. The printing on the buttons is large enough that most people shouldn't have trouble reading them. The buttons themselves have a decent 'clicky' feel. The selected button has a green LED. It also has a handy On/Off override button. The main caveats to this device are:You have to be able to live with the six pre-programmed time options they chose: 6 hours, 4 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour, 30 minutes, or 15 minutes. As others have said, there is no indication of elapsed time, if that's important to your situation. For my simple needs though, this thing is pretty much perfect. :)

Defective. Turns itself back on immediately
Regardless of which time I selected, when it finished the cycle, it turned itself off and then immediately started a new 4 hour cycle, which kept repeating immediately. Even if I manually turned it off during the cycle, it immediately started another 4 hour cycle. Bought it to not burn out the rechargeable battery on my dust buster. Totally worthless. Returning for a replacement to see if the one I got was a fluke.
