Works perfectly for spot heating and smoothing Monster Clay. Be sure to check the instructions as to correct type of alcohol fuel, and when they say use in a well ventilated place, they mean it. I suppose you could use regular alcohol if you are so inclined, but again... well ventilated. Google "breathing alcohol". And be wise. Practice on a hunk of clay before you put the torch on it. Took me about 30 minutes to be proficient. You don't want to melt your fine details away.

Works great, easy to control. The plastic lid is threaded - but the cap is not. Took me a couple of minutes to realize this because it would not unscrew.

I do Pysanky or Ukrainian Easter Eggs every year. This is far superior to using a candle. Burns clean, no smoke, and you get a handy torch for melting wax quickly. Replacement wick is 5/16 -3/8"cotton rope. 3/16 does not work btw on this particular brand.

I use it for dental lab work, sculpting wax patterns. Work fine for that purpose, however when used at certain angle may lose efficacy. Make sure not to have the wick too extended as the flame will lose its pin point shape when squeezed, Don't squeeze too hard.

A wonderful tool to use with Castilene Wax and wax sculpture tools. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to work with. It is light weight and can be easily handled when using the torch.

poor design. Plastic top melts while product is in use.

Great for monster clay

It works fine, the delivery was good. The bottle is about half to a third as big as it could be. Then you don't hacve to fill it as often and the broader base is more secure.
