My 9 year old son declared this to be the best one yet, after he took it away and read it because he couldn't wait for me to finish reading it to him. So funny and charming and lovely, with delightful illustrations and humour that is just the right amount of silly.

Buy this book! What a fantastic, light hearted, well written story. Perfect for all ages. This has really gripped my class at school and has encouraged some really reluctant readers.

Bought this as a Xmas present for my granddaughter. She was very pleased.

Brilliant 3rd instalment to the kevin the roly poly flying pony series

This is a fantastic adventure! Kevin is in deep trouble! Who's been eating all the biscuits in town? Where's Neville and Beyoncé? What's going on in Bumbleford? Don't worry if you don't know the background story as the authors give an introduction about Kevin and his friends. And after reading this book, chances are that you'll buy the rest of the series. It's ideal read for kids who are 7/9 years old. All of Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre books are very well written; brilliant vocabulary and also it's full of fun and silliness. And it's an ideal book to read aloud to your child/classroom so therefore kids from the age of 5 can follow all the action. This book was read by my 9 year old, my 6 year old who reads extremely well and by myself because I saw that my girls were having too much fun with Kevin! This book makes a lovely present as it is hardcover with silver details (as well as quality in the contents). The illustrations are amazing too! There are lots of beautiful, full of detail drawings. Going to Sarah McIntyre's website is a good tip too, there's lots of good quality activities and easy to follow draw along videos (for all ages). The books in this series are a must have.
