We bought a house and they already had one of these filters so we wanted to replace it. Thank god my husband was able to work with this thing since it was a little tough replacing it but it does work well once replaced. It does have a little drip coming down it. It forms a drop but it can take days for the drop to finally fall. We have this in a unfinished basement so no big deal to us but just a thought for others. Also when shut the water off the other day probably a cup of water came out of this filter onto the floor. But after we turned the water back on it's back to it's one drop.

I have replaced my filter every 6 months or so that feeds the ice maker and water dispenser in my house. This new filter works just as well as the others, however, it is about 1/4" shorter than the others. If you don't have any slack in the copper pipe this could cause an issue. Changing the size withour changing the part number seems wrong, even though the difference is slight.As for the water filtering, that seems to be working as well as ever.

These install easily and we use them for the ice maker and water dispenser. Easy slide n lock in the 1/4 “ both ends of the filter. Just use the 1/4 poly line no need for copper!!! Wahla done Eazy Pizzie!!!!

The inline filter leaked after less than 30 days of being installed.

these push in fittings suck!!! total PITA!!! Had to get a plumber to come and install a different kind with threaded fittings.

Bought 2 installed one and the seal did not engage, water was everywhere when turned back on. Fortunately the second unit connected without difficulty. The first one had to be faulty.
