Victorian designed sterling silver engraved floral & foliate whimsy ring. These rings are made with the original hand engraved dies, also known as 'hubs', from a collection dating back from the 1800's to early 1900's. Using a combination of techniques from the past and present these fabulous designs have been brought back to life in such a way that even the original tool marks hand engraved over a 100 years ago are left intact and preserved as part of the history and charm of your ring. The rings are made to appear exactly as their authentic counterparts did a century ago with an aged patina. The patterns are transferred to metal and aged with an antiqued finish for an oxidized (tarnished) look in the recessed areas of the pattern. The antiquing, aging effect is intentional and an intended feature for the ring to look like it was made 100 years ago. Measuring 5/8" by 1/2" wide across the top on a slim tapered 2.0mm wide band. This item is listed as 'In Stock' but it is actually made to order. The order needs to be placed before we start production which can take up to two weeks on average.
